The cabin is perfect for an intimate family vacation. Beautiful knotty pine gives the authentic feel of a Maine getaway with a few modern touches. There is a newly built screened-in porch for quiet reflection, time with loved ones, and appreciating the lake activity. Long sloping yard for tons of outdoor fun. Hammock, gas grill, fire pit, and lounge chairs by the lake. Beach and private cove equals stress-free lake access. Perfect for wading/swimming and easy fun with small kids. A floating dock in a shallow location is the perfect place to sunbathe. Also included are sand toys, a canoe, a, single person kayak, double person kayak and a paddleboat (with standard-sized life vests). **The two smaller bedrooms are connected by a partial wall (see picture above) and have a singular entrance. Not great when privacy is required but a great option for kids (crib and toddler rail available) and close family/friends. **There is very little cell service but we use Wi-Fi calling on our cell phones without any issues. Wi-Fi is fiber optic delivered and reliable Whole-home access. You enter through a long (3 mile), narrow passible dirt road, be sure to watch for on-coming traffic. The water entrance is small watercraft accessibility including canoes, kayaks, and jet skies. We can not guarantee that the dock can handle a small draft boat (i.e. pontoon boat) as the water level does vary, but others have had low draft boats in the area. We live away - but are available by phone, text and AirBNB communication at any time. We also have a property manager ready to assist if problems come up. Keyless entry makes check-in a breeze. Beech Hill Pond is a beautiful spring-fed lake. In the summer, the lake is dotted with boaters, kayakers, paddle boaters, and tons of wildlife. It's common to see ducks, loons, eagles, otters, and other wildlife on this lake. The house is a about 3 miles down a well-maintained and well-traveled dirt road. 20 minutes to Otis General which carries great food and the basics (milk, bread, eggs, etc). 30 minutes to Ellworth (supermarket, restaurants) 50 minutes to Acadia National Park 60 minutes to Bar Harbor ATV/snowmobile trails nearby Re: Fishing at Beech Hill Pond "The pond supports fisheries for Landlocked Salmon, Brook trout, Lake Trout, and Smallmouth Bass (Micropterus dolomieu). The pond’s primary management species are Lake Trout and Landlocked Salmon. Other fish species present are: Rainbow Smelt, Chain Pickerel, White Perch (Morone americana), Pumpkinseed Sunfish, Common Shiner, White Sucker , Hornpout, American Eel, Fallfish, Banded Killifish, and Threespine Stickleback " **NO SMOKING anywhere on the property. **This is a quiet community with year-round neighbors. NO PARTIES or loud gatherings will be permitted. **We’re happy to welcome well-mannered dogs to the property. Please be sure to pick up after them and be aware there are a lot of dogs in the neighborhood.
