Beautiful Round Lake St Patrick’s Bay Cottage.

The Cottage is situated on a Cul-de-sac along Red Rock Rd. on Round lake. It is located in a very quite and peaceful mature forest beside beautiful Round Lake. There is ample parking in the lane or you can park in the Cul-de-sac. You will find most of the comforts and amenities that you will need in the cottage. It has a screened in porch on the lake side that overlooks the lake. There is a deck with a covered gazebo at the lake level to enjoy the peaceful water front and comforting breezes. The space Welcome. We wish to welcome you to the Erskine Cottage at 1325 Red Rock Road on Round Lake Ontario. Your arrival time should be 2:00 PM Saturday or later. Check out time is 11:00am on the Saturday at the end of your stay. Our property manager will be able to assist with your stay. Please keep her informed of your arrival and departure time. Covid-19 update: Cleaning – This year because of Covid-19 for everyone’s safety we will have cleaning staff come before and after each visitor. We extended this an extra hour to give the time to be more though and to follow the cleaning methods outlined in Airbnb's policy. They will be doing their best to clean and disinfect touchable surfaces. We will have cleaning supplies there for your own peace of mind if you want to further clean. A little bit about the cottage: This year especially because of covid-19, we strongly encourage you to bring your own linens or sleeping bags for the beds but we understand that sometimes this isn’t possible, so we can supply one set of linens and bedding for each bed with the understanding that you please wash and put on or away what you use before you leave. This year we will only prep the beds with coverings. Sheets will be put away in the room dressers. Please bring your own towels and wash cloths. We will supply soap for dishes and large garbage bags (clear, local requirements). We have a compact washer and dryer in the cottage and a clothes line out at the front of the cottage (lakeside). If you use cottage towels or linens (washables) we would just ask that as things get dirty that you wash and dry them for the next guests, put away or back on the beds. ($50.00 laundry fee will be charged if things are found unwashed). There are 4 bedrooms. Two have King Size beds, one has a double size and the other two twins and a small bunk bed. There is a small broom vacuum at the entrance of the double bed bedroom. There are two vacuum cleaners in the closet of the double bed bedroom. There are also board games and a game table stored there. We have good dishes, cups and glasses, cutlery pots and pans all kinds of utensils and kitchen tools, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, fridge, stove and microwave. We have a Compact washer and dryer and two vacuum cleaners. We have a TV, DVD and Bluetooth sound bar. We have an internet TV box that supplies movies and music via the internet. We have internet setup, with a wireless Router. The password is there near the router. Just a warning, sometimes the internet connections there can be spotty. Overall the cottage is well equipped with house hold items and tools. We have a propane fireplace in the living room to be used for heat if required. The propane tank is limited in size so please turn it off when you don’t need it. We have a wood stove in the kitchen but we ask that it not be used for insurance reasons. There are electric baseboard heaters in some rooms but they are not working. This has been a Family Cottage and we still have a lot of personal effects in it, therefore the cabinet in the dining area is off limits. We didn’t want to pack everything away but rather would ask that these personal effects be respected. The Boathouse, attached and detached garages will be locked. There is a Deck down at the lake with chairs to comfortably enjoy the lake front. There is a Gazebo at the lake deck to shelter from the sun. We have a portable CD and Radio in the cottage that can be used down at the lake, softy. Please respect the neighbors. A Dock is installed down at the lake with a ladder at the end of it for getting in and out of the water. The water is shallow off the dock..... So please no diving. The water can sometimes bring in stick/logs and debris. Please watch your step while at the shore line. The Deck and Dock are much more comfortable. **** Watch your step. We have rustic natural steps from the cottage down to the lake. We prefer a natural step there at the cottage but one needs to watch and be careful please because they are irregular. The front of the cottage has a screened in room and a glassed in section. Both are very relaxing to bring in the day and view, bug free. Two canoes and paddles are included with the rental. The paddles are on the front porch by the bedroom entrance. If you could please, put them back when you are finished with them. Life vests or preservers are fitted and have specifications that are specific to each person, so we are making this the responsibility of the users to bring their own, however we do have a few there with the paddles to be used at your own risk. The lake is patrolled and for safety it is important that Life Vests are used. *****The Canoes. The Shore line is Rocky for the first 15 feet and then turns to sand. The one Canoe is a Kevlar Canoe and very expensive. We ask that the Canoes are lifted into the water, avoiding the ROCKS. No scratches please. We recommend you bring a pair of water shoes. This will help your feet maneuver over the rocks without any discomfort. When you return to the shore please, lift the Canoes out again on to the boat dock. Avoid dragging it on all surfaces. If left on the shore line, the waves can damage the canoe on the rocks. Notes everywhere. We have notes for direction in key locations around the cottage to try to assist you in following correct procedures. Parking. Please park to the right of the cottage as you come in. The Septic tile bed is located on the left side along the wood pile and sheds. Liability Waiver. We have a liability waiver for you to sign at the beginning of your stay. The Neighborhood. There is Foy park just down the road where there is a beautiful natural beach. Nice for a picnic, or a good walk and dip in the lake. For a nice dinner outing, there is the Famous Wilno Tavern that serves wonderful Polish food. Ask, to get up to date times and reservations. Take a little day trip to see the Bonnechere Caves. Ask for more information. Garbage. The White shed beside the Wood shed has two compartments. The right side is an outhouse. The left side is storage and has a few Garbage pails in it. Please store you excess garbage there, with doors closed to keep the critters out. **** When you leave please take your garbage with you. Thank you. For your convenience the locality has a few garbage dumps around. ONE SMALL PAPER BAG, GROCERY BAG, ETC., MAY BE PLACED INSIDE OF THE CLEAR BAG TO HOLD PERSONAL ITEMS. Tipping fees shall be paid to the waste site attendant upon entry to the site and before disposing of chargeable items.
