Welcome to the D.H. with all of its many features! This "Delightful Habitat" provides a 'home–away-from-home' feel with attention to details. Located in a quiet neighborhood 5-7 minutes from the U.T campus, Market Square, most attractions in downtown Knoxville. Located close to Knoxville's restaurants and numerous quaint coffee shops, ice cream parlors, bakeries and historic district. For groups of 5-8, see below optional Bonus Room add on. Free parking-3 cars. The space The residence is in the bottom floor of our home in a separate, private apartment. There is plenty of free parking on our quiet street. Accommodations include a well lit private access walkway with keypad doorway entrance for your privacy and comfort. The D.H. is in a beautiful neighborhood with only six houses on our safe and quiet street. The space has recently been remodeled with new carpeting, paint, and décor to captivate from the moment you enter. The space has one bedroom with a queen size bed for 2 guests with a memory foam mattress topper, new pillows, and a sitting nook area--including a large array of books for your reading enjoyment. The bathroom has an oversized 6 foot tub and shower tiled for taking relaxing baths or showering with a timed ceiling heater to keep you warm when you emerge from the environment. Please note, the bathtub is very large and guests with limited mobility may have trouble accessing. There is a step stool provided in the bathroom closet but please note before booking. The living room is equipped with a sofa bed couch which sleeps two people comfortably, flat screen television with roku, and a pass-thru window into the kitchen for ease of conversations. There is a dining room and fold down business desk area for your laptop are in the world travel section area. Take a refreshing and captivating visual stroll through the books in this area of the D.H. and dream of your next purposeful travel destination. The newly remodeled kitchen includes a large tiled island with raised countertops, sitting stools and an additional eating area. Also included is a full size refrigerator, microwave, drip coffee maker, Keurig coffee maker, french press coffee maker, toaster, plates, bowls, cups, silverware, pots and pans, slow cooker, pizza stone, and much more. If you are a lover of food and enjoy being your own chef then indulge yourself in our fully equipped kitchen. Coffee is provided complimentary on the check in day of your stay for breakfast as well as breakfast items such as homemade sourdough bread, banana bread and several varieties of dried fruit. Eggs are provided complimentary, fresh daily from our backyard chickens. An ample supply of essentials will be provided at check in. On longer stays, if there is anything you need I will do my best to accommodate requests. Have fun as you waltz your way through the cultural cook books and exotic spice blends. The listed Airbnb space is equipped for up to 5 guests. However, to better accommodate groups of 5 to 8 guests or any size group that would appreciate more room and amenities consider including the optional Bonus Room to your stay. Our existing Home-Away-From-Home Oasis is now EXPANDABLE with an additional 450 Sq. ft. attached to our existing listing. Guests booking a weekend stay during a University of Tennessee Home Football Game will receive the bonus room complimentary. The Bonus Room features include: a 5 ft air hockey table, dart board area, puzzles, board games, a 55” flat screen TV with a Sonos surround sound bar, Roku, Netflix, Disney Plus, DVD Blueray player with a great selection of DVD’s for kids and adults. For a blast from the past, try out the 30” retro TV with VCR player and many VHS classic movies, and additional dining room table and chairs. Also featuring a library room brimming with books and office work desk area. For sleeping arrangements, the Bonus Room includes a cozy couch, a twin bed, two air mattresses upon request, and a pack-n-play if needed. The Bonus Room is a Unique and Fun Space for groups with children, or simply a larger quiet space to work from on your business trip to Knoxville. If you are interested in adding the Bonus Room to your booking, please message your host, Bethany, after you book. There is NO Additional Cleaning Fee for the bonus room, only a modest up-charge of $30 per night to the existing listed price. The listing is available with or without the Bonus Room Feature. The standard booking does not include the bonus room, but the bonus room can be requested and added before or during your stay for an additional $30 per night. If you have questions on The Bonus Room, please message the host directly. Guest access The yard is the only space you will share with me and my companions. The rest of the listing is your private space. Guests have access to a bedroom, living room, fully equipped kitchen, luxurious private bathroom, and dining and study area. Access to shared washer and dryer upon request is located on main floor in the host's portion of the residence. Up to 2 loads will be allowed to guests staying less than 5 nights. Other things to note Perfect location for anyone visiting Knoxville. Our space is a 5-7 minute drive from all downtown attractions, the University of Tennessee, Neyland Stadium, Market Square, hiking trails and quarries at Ijam's nature center, the Knoxville botanical gardens, and so much more.
