Restored historic small home located on the banks of the Wabash River. Bike trail to the City of Wabash runs along rear of property. This cozy, 500 square foot one room house is perfect for your quiet getaway, the cyclist hitting the trail and roads, or putting your canoe or kayak in the Wabash River. A boat launch is 100 yards from property. Golf at Honeywell Golf Course and enjoy the benefits of our Bronze Membership. (Details in the online and onsite guidebook) The space Queen bed and full size futon for sleeping. The futon is great for 1 adult, but might be a little too cozy for 2. Kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave and toaster oven. Deck and patio overlooking the Wabash River and river trail for biking and walking. Parks Nearby: Salamonie State Park (4 miles), Mississinewa Reservoir (15 miles) Cities: Wabash (7 miles), Huntington (14 miles), North Manchester (13 miles), Ft. Wayne (40 miles) Guest access The guests have access to the house and the yard. The basement/cellar is not accessible. Other things to note There are currently no grocery stores in the town, so guests need to bring their supplies or purchase them in nearby Wabash. With the opening of Speakeasy Bistro, next door, questions have arisen regarding parking at the back of Riparian House. There are 2 designated parking spots just for Riparian House guests. If there are any issues, report it to Speakeasy and they should take care of it. Additionally, especially during summer and fall, Speakeasy has live music and a lively atmosphere. It's a great place to relax and enjoy music and fellowship, but it can get a little loud.
