Amazing waterfront home on the Piankatank River in Gloucester, VA! This one level 1400sf cottage has 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, a sun room with sweeping views, screened porch, living room with wood burning fireplace & large smart TV, fully stocked kitchen, waterside decks, a terrific fire pit, spacious dock with amazing sunsets AND sunrises, eagles overhead, kayaks and more! Want to bring your boat? There's a community boat ramp 1 minute away. The space There are so many inviting places to gather or find solitude, depending on your mood, and views of the river from almost all! This is our home away from home and we use it when you aren't, so the house is loved and well appointed. It's our favorite place and might just become yours, too. Unlike many river homes, we have both a sun room and living room. The sun room has a great sofa and arm chairs, as well as our dining table. The living room has a wood burning fireplace, seating for six and a large television. The master bedroom is large with it's own bath (with separate room for shower and toilet). The two guest rooms are small: one with a full size bed and walk in closet, the other with bunks and a chest of drawers. The guest bath is really small with a shower stall. PLEASE NOTE: this will be a challenge for larger adults (please see the photo in our listing). We are cooks, so our kitchen is well stocked and includes spices for your use. Our screened porch with gorgeous river views is a great spot to hang out after dinner (or with your morning coffee). Our spacious dock has a fish cleaning station and adirondack chairs for lounging/relaxing/watching wildlife. Keep an eye out for the two eagles who nest across the river from us! You'll also see herons, the occasional turtle and lots of jumping fish. There is firewood for your use - in our outdoor fire pit or indoor stone fireplace! - two kayaks, one paddle board, a gas grill for cooking out, crab pots, and lawn games. PLEASE NOTE: BRING YOUR OWN FISHING POLES AND TACKLE. Our dock has steps down for wading at the shore, and a ladder at the end of the dock. We are very near Dragon Run, so the water is NOT deep here. At the end of the dock, it's about 4 feet at high tide and 2 feet at low. Guest access The entire home is yours!
