Description
Enjoy a charming 1901 AirBnB experience. There is 120 years of history and character, plus I've just freshly restored your whole area. You'll have brand new fixtures, appliances, linens, and fresh paint, with cozy lighting and furniture. Explore Sugarite State Park, lakes, fishing, hunting, and other outdoor activities. You may see deer or bear, as they are regulars on the property, and downtown is a short walk away. See my guidebook for the best restaurants and nearby attractions. The space One cozy bedroom and one full private ensuite bathroom in a two story 1901 house originally heated with coal, which holds many hints of the history of its inhabitants over the past 119 years. I am still adding improvements, so you'll notice my price reflects a project with a few final touches to add. There is central heat, plus a fan and space heater are provided for extra comfort. I have professionally deep cleaned hospital IV preparation rooms, so rest assured, your lodging will be sanitized and spotless, while keeping its comfortable cozy feel. *READ HOUSE RULES* Guest access You have a private entrance behind the house to your one bedroom, one bath suite. The home is occupied, but there are no shared spaces. During your stay Your privacy is important to me, yet I'd be happy to offer dining, activity, and event recommendations if requested. Our paths won't really cross unless you are out on your porch, and I'm landscaping in the backyard. Please check in when you arrive and check out when you leave, so we can avoid any unplanned interactions. 😳 Contact with the host will also depend on CDC guidelines, New Mexico state mandates, and the guests' requests and comfort level. I will be available for anything you need via AirBnB instant message, and text/phone. Check here for safe travel updates: https://www.newmexico.org/covid-19-traveler-information/ Other things to note This house is still a work in progress. There are a few minor things in your area that need a little work. For example, the hall floor is not finished, but there are rugs. Also, the laundry room and porch light switches aren't wired yet, so I've provided motion sensor solar and battery operated lights. I've yet to put in a few floor transitions. I didn't want to further delay opening for some small projects I can complete between guests, and I have accounted for any flaws in the nightly rate. We need to protect our small town and rural county. Please abide by all CDC recommendations and New Mexico mandates and regulations. You can review New Mexico's current travel guidelines here: https://www.newmexico.org/covid-19-traveler-information/ Currently most businesses in town do not require masks. I am fully COVID-19 vaccinated and boostered, and the only person on the premises. The consideration of vaccinated guests is appreciated.
