Absolutely stunning so get your camera ready. Drive the golf cart to Pelican Point on the south side of the island. The beach is something out of national geographic! One morning get up before sunrise and head to Pelican Point to view it rising up from the ocean. Breathtaking! When the shrimp boats glide by our home start watching for dolphins. They are always close to shore and chase the boats. If you feel like a dip in the pool, drive the golf cart to the racquet club. You can park in the parking lot. We have a large resort pool. Make sure to spend a day chilling on the beach. Load up the beach wagon with an umbrella, chairs and toys, fill up the cooler and head down your boardwalk to one of the most serene beaches in the country. Take the Kayaks out and explore the shore. Dolphins have been known to swim right up to you. If you feel like fishing, cast a line from the shore and see what you can pull in. One evening sit on the front porch and watch the colors reflecting off the marsh at high tide. The water is typical Low Country dark water, best for relaxing in the sand in quiet solitude. If you’re looking for waves and water play, the south end of the island at Pelican Point is perfect or Hunting Island State Park right next door is the place to be. The whole thing is just beautiful.
