Super clean and cozy ground floor condo, conveniently located off Hwy 80 in the historical Soda Springs Station. Beautiful views of Soda Springs mountain. Close proximity to multiple ski resorts including Soda Springs Ski Resort, Royal Gorge XC, Donner Ski Ranch, Sugar Bowl Resort and Boreal and a multitude of hiking trails and activities. Serene Lake, Donner Lake, Truckee, Lake Tahoe and Reno are all easy drives from the condo. Great location for all year-round enjoyment. There is a lock box at the main lobby door where you can pick up the keys upon arrival. The code is provided when reservation is complete. Your accommodations include a full kitchen including new refrigerator, new stove, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker (Keurig and drip), coffee, pots & pans, glasses, cups, utensils, spices, and a some additional essential items. The space is approx. 880 square feet and includes two bedrooms with one queen bed in one room, 3 twin beds in the 2nd bedroom, one queen size futon in the living room and one bathroom. There also is a "bonus" 1/2 bathroom in the lobby, right out the front door of the condo. The condo also has new carpet! Bedding, pillows, and bath towels are available. Please bring your own beach towels. Also includes WiFi, TV with Chromecast and DVR (no cable). Washer and dryer is located in the condo with laundry detergent/dryer sheets available. Check in is 3pm and check out is 12 noon however special arrangements can be made for early/late check in and check out if other guests are not booked. HEAT & FIREWOOD: The condo has a wood burning free standing stove. Firewood for short stays is provided. Extra firewood for longer stays can be arranged with us for a fee or purchased at the local store. The condo also is equipped with electric wall heaters in each room operated by individual thermostats in living room and bedrooms. TRAIN NOISE: Our historic location is next to the railroad and trains will pass by. The trains are required to blow their horn when approaching the RR crossing. New double-paned windows keep the horn sound down. We think it adds to the charm! Guests have access to the entire condo and large, shared deck. Chairs, tables, and a firepit are available during summer and fall. The condo complex has a tennis court that can also be used as a pickleball court! A half bathroom is located in the building lobby. We are available to answer any questions 7 days a week. Please message through AirBnb app for quick response SNOW Soda Springs gets A LOT of snow which makes it a winter wonderland yet it is important to be prepared. The building has a private plow service and a caretaker who does snow removal for decks and stairs on a regular basis. However, we do not provide snow removal for guest vehicles. Bring a snow/ice scraper for your car and PLEASE drive a vehicle that can handle the snow with snow tires or chains. 4WD is great too but not always necessary. Parking is outside and vehicles can get covered with snow. Parking is limited to 2 vehicles per unit. Winter: Walking distance to Soda Springs Ski Resort, 5 minute drives to Boreal, Donner Ski Ranch and Sugar Bowl Resort, 30 minute drive to all other major Northern Tahoe Ski resorts. Spring/Summer/Fall: Multiple trails including Lake Van Norden walking distance from condo. Donner Lake is 8 miles away with beaches, water activities and rentals. Parking in front and back of Soda Springs Station. Permits needed during winter busy season. Specific parking guidelines and procedures are posted in the condo. Fully stocked country general store located at 21784 Donner Pass Road is a very short drive away. You can grab a quick lunch before heading off hiking or stock up on food and supplies including fresh vegetables and fruits for the condo. Gas station located right off Hwy 80 Soda Springs Rd East exit also has a very well stocked convenience store. Firewood is sold at both locations. The unit is accessed via front door lobby and exterior stairs that can get covered with snow during winter time. Snow and ice can fall from the roof and we ask guests to be mindful of falling ice and winter safety precautions.
