We knew there was something special about the Village House the first time we walked in. Even though it's been completely renovated, the charm and historic character of the home has been carefully retained. One of the most surprising features of the home is how large it feels once you're inside. There are plenty of cozy nooks as well as comfortable gathering spaces. Our guests especially appreciate that each bedroom has a full private bath so that no one has to share. The Village House has its own private parking lot with a handicap accessible sidewalk leading up to the home. There is a nice outdoor patio surrounded by beautiful landscaping. There is also lots of green grass area across from the Village House that guests may use. The entire main floor of the home is also handicap accessible including one bedroom with a queen size bed, smart tv and attached bathroom. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the essentials for small to large gatherings. Whether you like to cook or bake you should find all the cookware and bakeware you need. There is also a gas grill located on the patio right off the kitchen. There is a large dining room table. We also have folding tables and extra chairs for our guests to use. There is a smart tv in the living room area with a dvd player and variety of movies and games for our guests. There is a den on the main floor with a desk and office chair. The den also has a couch with pull out bed and French style doors for privacy as this could be used as an additional bedroom. There is also an additional bathroom located on the main floor. The second level of the house has three additional bedrooms which all have their own full bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms have queen size beds and the third bedroom has two twin beds. There is a sitting area upstairs with a smart tv and small library of books. This space also works well for an additional sleeping area. The laundry room is located on the second floor and our guests are more than welcome to use. The Village House stands out from any other vacation rental in our area. The large common rooms work great for small events such as Birthday parties, holidays, graduations and reunions. The house is always decorated for the holiday or season. We host a lot of girls/guy weekends, sibling weekends, wedding guests, bridal party guests and business trip stays. With our location it is also a great place to stay for any event going on in Winona. Everyone enjoys having their own space but also great common spaces. The Village House is certified by the City of Winona and inspected annually by the State of Minnesota. We do not allow any pets as we want to accommodate guests who may have allergies.
