Selkies' Rest offers a gourmet kitchen, 4 decks/porches (all with water views), a hot tub, jacuzzi, clawfoot tub, and luxury glass shower. This cozy cottage has 1400 efficient square feet of indoor space on three levels: - 1st: guest suite (QUEEN) and home office (FULL futon, 24" wide ottoman cot) - 2nd: kitchen, dining, and living room (FULL sofa bed, 24". wide ottoman cot) - 3rd: 2 bedrooms with large shared bath (QUEEN; 2 TWIN) EXTRA GUESTS/VISITORS: "Airbnb does not offer customer service or insurance to people who don't have an official reservation through the platform, and any liability waivers you may offer your guests won't apply" - Airbnb.com - Our 1 guest fee includes up to 5 free extra guests (6 total) - Airbnb bills all additional guests per person per night for the entire booking - ALL extra guests, including day visits, must be registered, paid, and named on booking for insurance/liability reasons - Unregistered people onsite is grounds for immediate cancellation with no refund TRAVEL INSURANCE Please insure your trip, whether you buy it from Airbnb or elsewhere. By booking, you understand and agree: NO VISITS OR EVENTS - NO meal gatherings, parties, events, receptions, festivals, meetings, commercial use, or unregistered guests dropping in (they're uninsured) NO AC or TV - The cottage is not air conditioned - close window shades and open the windows and doors to let climate friendly sea breezes cool the home. There's also no TV, by design. FIRE DANGER - We've lost MANY buildings to fire on Peaks (see 5th Maine museum exhibit) and this is an antique wooden home. Smoking, vaping, cigars, candles, matches, grilling, campfires, lighters and open flame of any kind are all strictly prohibited anywhere on or even near the property. Evidence of any violation of this will result in a $500 fine AND immediate removal without refund. GROUPS - The cottage *can* sleep up to 12, BUT, it is a SMALL cottage (1400 sq ft on 3 floors). Please consider the bedding arrangements detailed above BEFORE you book TRAVEL INSURANCE - Please protect your trip with travel insurance, we're not able to finance your change of plans, no matter how unfortunate NEIGHBORS - Please plan to be another wonderful neighbor in our close knit island community. Please be very respectful, as everyone’s homes are very close together and an island is a very small “town.” SAFETY - No more than 6 at a time on decks and porches.
