Awesome House on Cayuga Lake!

Great for families!! 1196 E. Shore Drive is a fabulous rustic lake house (circa 1890) on Cayuga Lake 2.5 miles from downtown Ithaca. 330 ft of frontage w/ full sun and awesome sunsets. Huge dock and hot tub. Private. NOTE: the railroad tracks come close to the house and so does the road (traffic noise during the week is noticeable). And because of the tracks, the driveway is SHORT AND STEEP. Price based on # of people. See below. Booking guest must be at least 25 years old. The space Our rustic lake house property is truly special with ample room to host family and friends. The lot is unparalleled in terms of frontage (330 feet) and space so close to town. We have no immediate neighbors to the north - all you see is lake! The home was built in 1890, and we just renovated the inside of the house during the winter of 2016. It is very well maintained, charming and full of character. You will love it! NOTE: The east shore of Cayuga Lake has a railroad track that goes about half way up the lake. The single train utilizing the tracks heads to the salt mine north of us, just a few times per week. That's infrequently enough that it is an exciting event. Luckily it moves slowly and does not blow its horn near our house (unless the children beg for it). As with all houses on the lower east shore of Cayuga Lake, the railroad tracks come close to the house. And because of the tracks, the drive is short and steep. In case it is not clear in the booking process, our nightly rate is for 2 people and it is an additional $75 per night per person over 2 people, up to our maximum of 6 people. Guest access You can access the entire property and use our kayaks, paddle board and canoes too. Our property is easy to access in that you drive in and park at lake level. Finger Lakes homes are famous for steep cliffs down the water. This property, while not handicap accessible, is nonetheless flat and very senior friendly.
