Hello, Welcome to Dawson’s Landing, a waterfront cottage retreat located 30 minutes from Ottawa and a little less than 2 hours from Montreal. The home offers a fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms with queen size beds, and lots of open space for watching TV, reading a book or just surfing the web while enjoying the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The space The cottage, built in 1952, is located directly on the Ottawa river. It offers an open concept space, filled with natural light. The area offers several options for outdoor activities such as year round fishing, photography, kayaking, boating, swimming, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, ATV, cross country skiing and hiking. Guest access Whole house with the exception of two storage/utility rooms on the lower level and garage. Other things to note ~ max guests is 4. It may be possible to accommodate 6 ($), please inquire. ~ one dog Is permitted, additional cleaning charge ($) may be applied. Please indicate breed and age of dog(s) at time of booking request; Note: property is not gated. Guests are responsible for controlling their dog at all times. Dogs must not be left alone in or on the property. Guests are responsible for controlling and cleaning up after their dog and ensuring the dog is tied and there is no excessive barking; ~ Water source is from a well, which we test periodically. Bottled drinking water is provided for your peace of mind. ~ The cottage is on a septic system. Guests can not flush anything other than TP (&human waste) ~ No feminine products, wipes, cotton balls, tissues, hair, Q-Tips, food or paper towels. ~ In winter, slippers are recommended. Cottage was built in 1952, floors can be cold during winter. We provide slippers but you may want to pack your own. ~ The cottage is equipped with a standby generator so you never have to worry about power outages. ~ located on a private gravel road which slopes down to and along the river towards Dawson’s Landing. The road is accessible year round, at times during the winter it can be slippery depending on the weather. Snow tires are required during winter months.
