Grant Island Cottage is your next upstate NY, Adirondack getaway.   This rustic 4-bedroom, 1-bath vacation rental house is located nicely in the middle of Brantingham Lake, in Upstate NY.   Situated on Grant Island this spacious 1,500-square-foot home features a front porch, an open-concept living room, and comfortably sleeps 8. Included with your rental is a pontoon boat that will accommodate your whole group.   You will have this as your personal boat to go back and forth to and from the mainland parking area as well as to use for recreation during your vacation. Brantingham Lake has great fishing and includes Large Mouth Bass, Whitefish, Perch, Rainbow Trout, Bullhead and Pickeral to name just a few. The Island: Grant Island cottage has an outdoor Hot tub that fits up to 6.   Amazing on those cool summer evenings. Take the 2-person canoe or rowboat and paddle around Brantingham Lakes' beautiful scenery. You will have half of the island all to yourselves. Management lives on the other side of the island and is there for you at all times to answer any questions you may have or assist you in any way. You will have your privacy yet have assistance at your disposal.  Grant island is great for Pets. They will thank you for the freedom to run free! We allow up to 2 dogs for the included $50 pet fee. A third dog can be allowed with an extra fee of $25 per night or $150 for the week. NOTE: we do not allow aggressive or problem dogs. Bedroom layouts consist if 4 bedrooms on thr second floor. Each bedroom is semi private in that there are curtains for doors. Bedroom 1 - Queen bed Bedroom 2 - Double bed Bedroom 3 - Double bed and Bedroom 4 - Two Single beds. The owners of the island has 1 small dog that may at times come to visit to say hello. We prefer to keep a harmonious atmosphere on the island so any animals with aggressive tendencies will not be allowed. If there is any questions or concerns at all please message us first. Dogs must be friendly, and non-aggressive. If you have a dog who has ever shown aggression we ask that you leash them during their stay. Waiver required Camp Fires - New for 2023 we have a camp fire pit dedicated for the evening Smores and light music session by the lake. Required Waivers - With any large property there are inherent risks. We have a personal and pet waiver that all guests must sign before arrival. We can send you information on the waiver prior to booking. Please message us for details. You will have half of the island to yourselves. Management lives on the other side of the island and we are here for you at all times for anything you need or to answer any questions you may have. We give you your privacy but remain at your disposal should you need anything There is one other main cottage on the island as well as 3 small houses that are also rented. Other renters, as well as management, may have dogs that will run free as well so your pets MUST be friendly and social. Please do not bring dogs with any history or aggressive tendencies. If your dog has been a rescue please advise us before arrival. When you arrive we will meet you at the mainland parking area and give you a quick tutorial of how to operate the pontoon boat. We will give you a ride over to the island and walk you though everything with the boat process. Other than that you will only see us if you ask for assistance or have any questions about anything. Brantingham Lake is a special area on the southern border of the Adirondack State Park. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do.
