With your own private pontoon boat included, you'll have the freedom to come and go whenever you please. Use it to explore Brantingham Lakes magnificent natural environment, go fishing, birdwatching or sit in the middle of the lake stargazing our amazing dark skies. Next, hop in the hot tub and grab a drink, and later, make some smores for a lakeside camp fire. Come visit! The space **IMPORTANT** DATES AVAILABLE: Typically in our summer months we only do weekly rentals starting and ending on Saturday. As of now we have Labor Day week of August 30th to Sept 6th available. This week must be rented as a whole. OTHER DATES: June 29th to July 5th is a 6 night reservation and must be rented as a whole. Also available is August 2nd to Aug 5th. Must be rented all 3 nights. All other dates before and after are a 2 night minimum. THE RENTAL: Grant Island Cottage is your next upstate NY, Adirondack getaway.   This rustic 4-bedroom, 1-bath vacation rental house is located nicely in the middle of Brantingham Lake, in Upstate NY.   Situated on Grant Island this spacious 1,500-square-foot home features a front porch, an open-concept living room, and comfortably sleeps 8. Included with your rental is a pontoon boat that will accommodate your whole group.   You will have this as your personal boat to go back and forth to and from the mainland parking area as well as to use for recreation during your vacation. Brantingham Lake has great fishing and includes Large Mouth Bass, Whitefish, Perch, Rainbow Trout, Bullhead and Pickeral to name just a few. The wifi is strong and stable.   Also available is a hardline for anyone not getting a great signal for whatever reason and needing to stay connected for work. Get your game on with vintage Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo game consoles that have EVERY single game ever made, We also have a Nintendo Wii. Time to relive your former gaming years! You will have half of the island all to yourselves. Management lives on the other side of the island and is there for you at all times to answer any questions you may have or assist you in any way. You will have your privacy yet have assistance at your disposal.  Grant island is great for Pets. They will thank you for the freedom to run free! We allow up to 2 dogs for the included $50 pet fee. A third dog can be allowed with an extra fee of $25 per night or $150 for the week. NOTE: we do not allow aggressive or problem dogs. Bedroom layouts consist if 4 bedrooms on thr second floor. Each bedroom is semi private in that there are curtains for doors. Bedroom 1 - Queen bed Bedroom 2 - Double bed Bedroom 3 - Double bed and Bedroom 4 - Two Single beds. The owners of the island has 1 small dog that may at times come to visit to say hello. We prefer to keep a harmonious atmosphere on the island so any animals with aggressive tendencies will not be allowed. If there is any questions or concerns at all please message us first. Dogs must be friendly, and non-aggressive. If you have a dog who has ever shown aggression we ask that you leash them during their stay. Waiver required Camp Fires - We have a dedicated Fire Pit for the evening Smores and light music session right on the dock overlooking the lake. Guest access You will have about half of the island to yourselves. Management lives on the other side of the island and we are here for you at all times for anything you need or to answer any questions you may have. See images for proximity and locations of the cottages. We have a virtual tour of the entire island. Please ask and we will guide you to it. We respect your privacy but remain at your disposal should you need anything There is one other main cottage on the island as well as 3 small houses that are also rented. Other renters, as well as management, may have dogs that will run free as well so your pets MUST be friendly. If any of your pets were rescued, please disclose this prior to arrival. Other things to note Please be aware we have limited parking available on the mainland. We have space for 2 vehicles. If you have 3rd vehicle ( Trailers would be included in this figure ) we can accommodate you but we request that you advise us of the additional vehicles so we can properly prepare. If necessary, we could make room for a 4th vehicle. There is an additional fee of $150 per vehicle for the week or $25 per night. Please advise us if you will be arriving with more than 2 vehicles so we can plan accordingly for you. If you have 5 or more vehicles advise us and we can try and help with some local options for parking. You will essentially have half of the island private to you. The other half is occupied by the owners as well as dedicated to renters of the other 3 little rental cabins for couples. The owners have a small dog and other guests may have pets as well, so its required that if you bring any pets that they are non-aggressive in every way. Required Waivers - With any large property there are inherent risks. We have a personal and pet waiver that all guests must sign before arrival.
