Cedar Hill is a secluded, restful house on ten acres of natural land that features breathtaking views. Located in the heart of the Hudson Valley, Cedar Hill is close to the shops and restaurants in Hudson and Rhinebeck, and is 10 minutes from Bard College. Cedar Hill was designed and built by its owners and features a wide flagstone porch on three sides, accessed by a wall of glass doors.   The house features an open plan with lots of natural light.  Sliding glass doors open out from all the main rooms on the first floor. Most summer evenings are breezy and comfortable, and the house if fully air conditioned. As secluded as Cedar Hill feels while you are there, you are within easy reach of world class sights, such as Hudson River mansions, quaint small towns, and Bard College with its famed art collection and performing arts center.  The scenic destination town of Hudson, with its artisan and antique shops and restaurants and bars, is only 20 minutes away.  You can rent sailboats in Tivoli, a mere 5 minutes, and you can hike at Clermont State Park, Poet’s Walk and all through the Catskill Mountains. Local food markets keep you supplied with fresh local vegetables, fruits, honey, milk, cheese, eggs, and meat.  Or order in from one of the great local restaurants. Both getaway and base for exploration, the house is hard to leave and easy to come home to. The owners will be living on-site in their tiny house camp in the woods. We will be available if you need us. Otherwise you will have complete privacy. The Hudson Valley is home to charming towns and historic sites, farmers markets and unique restaurants, antique stores and second-hand shops, museums and art galleries. Cedar Hill is within an easy drive of all the valley has to offer.
