Other things to note The alluring countryside is as close to nature as you can get in your own space. You will experience hillsides, hillocks, ravines, stream, slopes, the woods etc which are not fenced and therefore do exercise extreme caution at all times for your own safety. Children should be accompanied by adults at all times. Do also take care not to enter the neighbour's land ( no fences as well) to respect their privacy. Look out for signs. Access to the beach is rough, steep and dangerous - and is at your own risk. There is an easier access to the beach about 1 km down the main road where most people go to. Other details: The 5% GST as you know is a government requirement. Because we are GST registered, Airbnb will not include that in their invoice to you. But we are responsible to collect it separately outside of Airbnb. Other hosts who are not GST registered will depend on airbnb to do the collect thereby their bill will be inflated by 5% immediately ( but you won't see a separate line for it) For us , the 5% will be separately collected. Either way, the total cost to you will be the same. This is a countryside home. We live in the basement with our dogs and cats. But they are not allowed to go into the airbnb space which is the ground floor suite. As a homestead, we also have chickens in the backpart of the acreage.
