The Cabin is situated near our home on 67 woodland acres, 15 min. from Hillsborough and 25 min. from Duke University and UNC-Chapel Hill. The Cabin is a converted horse barn with lofted ceilings, kitchenette, living area, dining table, bathroom, outdoor patio, and bedroom area separated by a partial wall. The pool and swimming pond are a few steps away. You are welcome to canoe, fish, walk our trails, play disc golf, or just enjoy the peaceful views. Ideal for couples and business travelers. We see this as a wonderful opportunity to indulge in the true AirBnb spirit of connecting with new people from new places! Split Rock is our home, lovingly created in a place of breathtaking beauty. We ask that you treat our home and property as you would your own. We hope you enjoy the rustic nature of our surroundings while you are here. That said, this is country living, which means that you can expect some uneven footing, dark night skies, and occasional nocturnal visits from the local wildlife. We have done our best to accommodate our guests with compressed mulch walkways, exterior night lighting (including motion sensor lights), and parking right next to the building. Important Add'l Note! We live in the country, about 1/4 mi off the main road, so WiFi access will not be as strong or as consistent as it is in urban areas. The WiFi router is located in our home, about 100 ft from the Cabin and WiFi access to the internet is generally good. If you experience any trouble connecting to the internet, please let us know and we will re-boot the router. PLEASE read our House Rules!
