Welcome to our home! It's conveniently located in the wooded Springs neighborhood of East Hampton with easy access to area beaches & bay excursions. Please note that house is not in the village of East Hampton, it is approximately 10 minutes north. The neighborhood is quiet with wooded preserve across the street, and the home and patio are furnished for you to have a relaxing vacation! We hope that you enjoy your stay. Below are few details that we'd like for you to be aware and please share this with everyone in your group. Please review the house rules before booking. There is a binder with instructions for how to operate items (TV/cable, fireplace, washer/dryer, thermostat, etc) in the house, as well as some suggestions for restaurants and other local attractions. Our house is set up to comfortably accommodate families with children. Groups of adults must be at least 25 years old. NO parties or loud gatherings, maximum of four cars in the driveway. Dogs are allowed on a case by case basis with a fee, please inquire. Other pets (cats, birds, etc.) not permitted. You will have access to the whole home, except a couple closets that will be locked. The house, pool and yard are for your private enjoyment during your stay. My husband or I will be available by phone if you need any assistance, and our caretaker is nearby in case of an emergency. This is a quiet neighborhood. There is a preserve across the street from the house, which means that there are not a lot of neighbors and not a lot of cars driving through. From the house, you're a short ride to the incredible bay beaches at Maidstone Park, Gerard Drive, or one of several harbors. You're also a ten minute drive from downtown East Hampton or Amagansett. Nearby, you'll find the Springs General Store, Maidstone Market, Balsam Farm, Round Swamp Farm and Bonac Farms organic market stand where breakfast, lunch and small groceries are available year round. A five minute drive along Three Mile Harbor will take you to East Hampton Point and Bostwick's on the Harbor (both with beautiful bay views and great Happy Hours), as well as Harbor Grill, and Harbor Bisto, all of which are good local options with fresh seafood and Hamptons grown produce. If you're interested in more restaurant options, the closest towns are East Hampton (6 miles), Amagansett (6 miles), Bridgehampton (15 miles), Montauk (20 miles), and Southampton (20 miles). You can get around by car, foot or bicycle. You can walk to the beach at Maidstone Park, which about 1.5 miles away. Uber and taxis are also available to take you to the beach or out to eat. The one in the den on the first floor is set up with Amazon Fire TV and AT&T TV Now (formerly Direct TV Now). The master bedroom and the downstairs guest room both also have wall-mounted tvs. Our home is very child friendly. The kids' room has a twin-over-full bunk bed, a single twin bed, a full sized crib, and a changing table. We also have a pack and play available, and the staircase has baby gates installed. There is also a highchair and a booster seat, and kid-safe dishware in addition to ceramic place settings. The yard is fully fenced and there is an interior fence around the pool. Please keep the gate closed! Additionally, please note that there is an exterior camera attached to the doorway light at the front door. The camera is for security purposes when no guests are on the property. Please contact us if you would like to discuss further. In order to park at the beach in-season, you would need to buy a beach pass (they attach to the car). We would recommend walking or calling a taxi for the nearby beaches. Alternatively, on week days you can pay to park at the Atlantic Avenue Beach on the Ocean, about 6 miles from the house. On weekends, our preference is Hither Hills State Park, about a 15-20 minute drive toward Montauk. Lastly, please note that cell phone service is spotty. Turning on Wifi calling is suggested if you intend to make substantial phone calls during your stay.
