Pixie Palace is an enchanting & comfortable 1 story ranch home on 2 acres for exploring on the East End of the Ojai Valley. On a thriving citrus & avocado orchard w/ sweeping views of the valley, mountain ranges & pink moments. Organic bedding & towels. Purified drinking water. Filtered shower water. Ping pong, hammocks, porch lounging, picnic tables, tennis on clay court, & a 8' redwood hot tub. Close to Thacher School, Meditation Mount, Krishnamurti Center, Ojai Valley High School & downtown. The space My Ojai home is furnished with my finds and treasures from when I was a Set Decorator for TV and Film. I have created spaces and opportunities to relax and luxuriate while experiencing the views and smells of Ojai. My space also benefits from my belief in and cultivation of a natural living environment as I am dedicated to using organic bedding and towels and chemical free cleaning products. I have installed an expensive and comprehensive water purification system so that you can drink water from a special tap in the kitchen and bath in filtered water. Ping pong, corn hole, hammocks, porch with a sweeping view, picnic tables, luxurious fire pit, BBQ, clay court tennis, redwood hot tub, extensive library of photography and design books & indoor fireplace are also opportunities to enjoy your vacation and time in Ojai. My house is in a quiet neighborhood close to Thacher School, Meditation Mount & the Krishnamurti Center while also being 8 minutes by car to downtown Ojai. I am a permitted Homeshare with Ventura County which is required to legally rent short term in Ojai. My tenant who lives across the driveway uses the garage for parking and storage. The garage is not part of the airbnb house rental. The impact of their presence may be the sound of the garage door and a distant visual of her accessing the garage from the side door beyond the backyard near the back shed which holds the garbage cans. I mention this dynamic so you are not surprised if you see someone in the distance or hear an unexpected sound coming from the garage. Both activities are minimal and usually undetectable and unnoticed. Guest access Guests have exclusive use of a fully stocked kitchen, indoor dining area as well as several outdoor dining tables under the stars in a variety of settings. Guests can enjoy playing tennis on an unmaintained clay tennis court, pushing children in swings amongst the citrus trees, sharpening ping pong skills with the outdoor ping pong table, picking organic fruit from hundreds of mature trees and lounging in shaded hammocks. Other things to note We pride ourselves on living in a chemical and toxic free environment. We provide biodegradable shampoos, dish soap and clean with water and vinegar and phthalate and scent free laundry detergent. There is NO SMOKING anywhere on the premises. Please respect our neighbors and community and refrain from making loud noise after 10pm. This is a shoe free home, please leave your shoes outside by the front door. Food should be shared in the kitchen and dining area or outside. Please do not eat in the bedrooms or living room to minimize creature interest in the house. Please be aware the rental fee is shared with this platform which deducts almost twenty percent for their fee.
