Located off quiet Cape Rosier Road in Harborside, a village in Brooksville, this antique log cabin provides the quintessential Maine experience. Built in 1912, Gull's View overlooks pretty and peaceful Smith Cove with views of the many islands and Castine in the distance. This property has a steep, tall embankment down to the beach and is not be suitable for young children. This property rents Saturday to Saturday from late June through Labor Day. The space Enjoy rustic and comfortable living with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and living room with magnificent functioning stone fireplace. French doors open onto the large, wrap-around, screened-in porch. Enjoy meals in the dining room overlooking the cove, or on the porch at the "lobster table". The furnishings combine modern comfort without losing the cozy antique log cabin feel. Satellite TV and 10 MB DSL Wifi keep you connected while still being 'away from it all'. This cabin has a queen bed and 2 twin beds. A heat pump provides cooling during hot weather as well as heat for the cooler fall season. Maximum occupancy is 4 people due to septic considerations. Owners will consider smaller dogs with responsible owners. Guest access Guests can park up to two passenger vehicles in parking area beside road and walk down lawn incline to get to the entrance. The walking is uneven in places. It is not possible to drive a vehicle closer to the cabin. The woodstove in the dining room is nonfunctional, and the septic and water supply, as with other seasonal cabins and cottages, are not designed for heavy use.
