This Island recently changed hands after being in the same family since the 1800's! The Sea Angell is a 1.2 acre PRIVATE ISLAND (you and your guests will be the only occupants) paradise located just off-shore in the gorgeous St. Lawrence River and part of the famous 1000 islands region — 1,864 islands to be exact! Center Island is located in a small group of private islands called Orient Group. The island is surrounded by pristine deep water and has gorgeous 180+ degree water views with amazing views of the Seaway, the Thousand Island Bridge, Wellesley Island, sunsets, and Rock Island Light House. This private oasis is perfect for swimming, kayaking, boating, watching the sunsets and the international freighters pass by the island, and the area is known for world class fishing! The island is accessible only by boat and the boathouse greets you to the island. From the boathouse, you will cross by foot a wooden bridge, which leads to the vintage 1800’s cottage! Yes, this is a vintage 1000 Islands cottage ... there are no granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, or AC. There IS a fully stocked kitchen with many modern gadgets (Drip Coffee Maker, French Press, Coffee Grinder ect ect). NEW FOR SUMMER 2023: New full sized refrigerator and electric stove with an air fryer! NOTE: This is a seasonal cottage and does not have central heat so depending on the weather, stays in October may be a little chilly. NOTE: Although this is a private island, this island is located in an area where there are nearby inhabited islands. Please respect a quiet time after 10 p.m. NOTE: THERE IS DEEP WATER at the boathouse. NOTE: YES, THERE IS electricity, modern plumbing, cell service, and WIFI. At the moment, there is no cable, AC, or central heat. In the future, I will add these amenities. NOTE: Photos will continue to change as improvements are made. NOTE: This listing is still in the process of beautification but great progress has been made. There is still painting that still needs to be completed and upgrades that will be made in the near future. Many windows need replacing and repairs still needed. In some aspects it may be a little like glamping and a tad rough but progress is always being made. If you like camping, you will love it here! NOTE: Upon booking request, I will go over what amenities are currently available, what amenities are not available, and how the property looks like at the present moment. During this beautification process, I want to make sure that you know exactly what the property looks like before booking. NOTE: The island is only accessible by boat. It’s right off shore from Fisher’s Landing. No boat? RJ Marine in Clayton is very highly recommended and is a great way to get to the island! They are available 24/7 and are very reliable. There is a free place to park near the location and a grocery store. Just load the boat up with your supplies and leave the driving to them. NOTE: Please bring bottled water for drinking. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire private island with the exception of two small sheds near water. There are two adult sized kayaks and two adult sized tandem kayaks to enjoy so long as you wear life preservers. Please bring life preservers with you. Other things to note ISLAND BEAUTIFICATION This island home is currently undergoing “beautification” and photos and descriptions are subject to change. There is still a lot of work to be done and in some ways a tad rough and a little like glamping. If you like camping, you will love it at The Sea Angell! 4 BEDROOMS* This is a vintage cottage and the 4* bedrooms listed currently sleeps 10 people are as follows: 1). Main bedroom is located off the kitchen with a king sized bed (2 People) and a full sized couch (1 Person - Non Pullout Couch). This room has a private entrance from the outside. 2). Cozy bedroom with a queen sized bed (2 People) and a teeny tiny 1/4 bathroom with just a toilet. This bedroom and bedroom need to be painted, decorated and updated as it’s a little rough. 3). Pass-Through Bedroom on way to bathroom with two twin sized beds (2 People). 4). Area at the end of the wrap around porch is sectioned off with a curtain that draws shut. There is a full sized daybed (2 People) and twin sized trundle (1 Person) that pulls out. * Also, in the future, the bunk house will also have a king or queen sized bed. * NOTE: As the cottage undergoes it’s “beautification”, there may be additional sleeping areas & beds that may be added to this listing. Listed is the guaranteed beds / bedrooms / guest capacity provided for at the time of booking. 2 BATHROOMS Note: there is one full bathroom and one TINY 1/4 bathroom (toilet only). SWIMMING The swimming is wonderful in the River! Please exercise caution when walking on the wet granite that is submerged just below the river as it’s very slippery. Please exercise caution when choosing swimming locations to ensure deep water (versus shallow water / granite ledges just offshore). No diving. WHAT TO BRING I do stock the cottage with shampoo, conditioner, shower soap, dish soap, paper towels, toilet paper, cleaning supplies ect ect. Please bring bottled water to drink.
