The best of WV is right outside your door-- hiking, rock-climbing, stargazing, and more! Then come home to a full kitchen, WiFi, hot tub, a comfy bed, a campfire, and the front porch. Rest a while, then enjoy the great display of stars over your head before retiring for the night. Staying on the edge of the Monongahela National Forest, you will be immersed in the Wild and Wonderful and surrounded by breathtaking beauty. Looking for a cozy winter getaway? Whether you work all day and enjoy the view or go out all day to hike/ski/explore, this cabin will fit the bill. The cabin itself is situated in a clearing in the forest. With the large front porch, it's a great place to spend your early mornings with a cup of coffee. --The cabin sleeps up to 4. There is a master bedroom on the lower level with a queen bed, and a loft bedroom with a queen bed. --The cabin has 2 full baths, one is right off from the master bedroom, and the other is on the main floor at the bottom of the steps to the loft. --For food prep, the cabin has a full kitchen equipped with basic cooking and eating utensils and dishes (including pots and pans), kitchen linens, fridge, toaster, Keurig, microwave, and stove. If you prefer not to cook on your vacation, The Gateway Restaurant is only a few miles away and has delicious food. NOTE: Please do not drink the tap water; there will be several bottles of drinking water at the cabin to get you started; after that, you will want to bring some. --Outside, enjoy a picnic while taking in the sights and sounds of nature. Outdoor amenities include a fire pit, picnic table, and park-style grill (bring your own charcoal). --AMENITIES include WiFi, heat/AC, lawn chairs, bed and bath linens, grilling utensils, and a telephone that can call local and toll-free numbers or long distance with a calling card. Please NOTE: no early check-ins or late check-outs. Check-in is anytime after 4 pm, and check-out is 11:00 am or before. Pets are not allowed at this cabin. You should bring an AWD in winter months, just in case. You will have access to the whole cabin, except for a small locked room with cleaning supplies. We do not live on site but will occasionally stop by to say hello. If you need anything, do not hesitate to call or message us. Quiet, nature surrounded; two of our other vacation cabins will be your only close neighbors. No public transportation. The stairs in the cabin are pretty steep and narrow. In the snowy time of year, you should bring an all-wheel-drive vehicle. The cabin has WiFi but no TV. Bring any books or electronics you will want for chill time!
