Description

Inside Massanutten Resort gates near Shanandoah National Park and James Madison University, this fantastic family friendly log home sits on a hill giving you views of the George Washington National Forest from the wide wrap-around front & side deck and from inside the home. Features include amazing mountain views, Wood walls, bamboo floors, ceramic floors, granite kitchen counters, high ceilings, big windows, high-speed internet, Cable TV, and gas grill. 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, sleeps 8. The space This home offers a true mountain feel with the A- frame style, wooden walls and ceilings and unobstructed views of the George Washington National Forrest and the ski slopes. Main Bedroom- upstairs with queen bed, ceiling fan, walk in closet and ensuite bathroom with walk in shower. Bedroom 2 - twin beds with full closet located on main living level off the kitchen. Shared full bath with bedroom 3. Bedroom 3- 2 sets of twin bunk beds on main living level off kitchen. Shared full bath with bedroom 2. Kitchen-Our fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops includes stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, drip coffee pot, blender, crock pot, baking pans, pots and pans, dishes, glassware and silverware. Living/Dining/Entry- Drop off your shoes and jackets at the entry bench to get ready to relax. The great room features full size couch, sitting chairs, area rug and cable TV. The open floor plan has the dining area nearby for extra seating and a great area for family game night. Outdoor space- The expansive wrap around deck gives you views on 3 sides with an outdoor dining table and outdoor chairs for outdoor enjoyment. The propane gas grill and tools are available for your use. Just please scrape the grill after each use to deter wildlife. Extras- Gobbler's Roost offers amenities for a relaxing stay that include foosball, Wi-Fi, cable TV, central heating and cooling with Wi-Fi thermostat, bed linens, bath towels (please bring pool towels for pools and waterpark. Bath towels stay at the house.) Dishwasher detergent, hangers, trash bags, hand soaps, dish soap, toilet paper (may need to supplement depending on length of stay. Cleaners leave one roll per bathroom) and contactless check-in. Exterior cameras for your safety that are disarmed during your stay. Laundry- washer and dryer located in downstairs unfinished basement. Families- we have provided a few extra items for kids including pack-n -play, toys, gaming TV with Xbox in upstairs loft. There is no cable to this TV. Tub for easy bathing in bathroom off of kitchen. Guest access Guests have the entire home with a full deck, and driveway. The front door at the deck level is equipped with a Schlage Encode smart lock. Three days prior to check -in guests will receive a message via the Airbnb app with the check in code and all information regarding rules and check out procedures. The code will be active from check in date/time and will expire at date and time of check out. Guest have access to the entire home except one owners closet located in the full bathroom off of the kitchen/bed 2 and 3 area. Parking- All streets are paved to the house and the driveway to the house is also paved. It is an uphill driveway that allows for amazing views. The driveway can hold 3 cars. Some prefer to park on the street. The HOA requires all 4 tires to be off the street. Important- The home is in a wooded area. It is surrounded by a variety of wildlife. Guests must clean up and securely package all food to prevent pests. The home is treated quarterly for pests. Carpenter bees love log homes so if you see signs of this, feel free to message me and I will add additional pest service to the schedule. Please clean the grill after each use and do not leave food outside to attract wildlife. Cell service- There is reliable cell service at the home and in the Massanutten Resort area. You may lose service during your travels, but we cannot know of that since many people travel from many different areas. The home is equipped with Wi-fi with high speeds. Community pool- The Rec center has an indoor pool along with basketball courts, workout classes, and arcade. The fee is around $18 per day per person. Trash- All trash must be taken to area dumpsters due to bear risks. Failure to do so will incur a trash fee. Other things to note The driveway is uphill. It is best to pull in at the angle it faces the street. Directions will be sent with check in information. In the winter, the driveway will be cleared for your arrival. Should it snow during your stay, there are shovels and salt in the basement. There is enough salt for the season so use sparingly. NEIGHBORHOOD RULES: - This home is part of the Massanutten Property Owners Association (MPOA) and is governed by its rules and regulations, as well as federal and state laws and local ordinances. There are short-term rentals in all MPOA neighborhoods, but people also live here. Your nearby neighbors may be full-time residents, including families with children, retirees, second homeowners and other guests enjoying their retreat. - Quiet Hours are between 10 P.M. and 7 A.M. Please keep noise indoors during these hours. No excessive noise at any time, as judged by MPOA or its assigned agents. - Parking: Keep all tires off the road. Do not block fire hydrants or park in front of another property without written approval from your host. Park only in designated areas or overflow lot (4007 Peak Dr., Massanutten, VA 22840) No buses, campers or RVs to be parked at homes or on roads. Overflow lot is available with written approval from your host. - Outdoor fires: High wildfire risk! No open fires. No unattended fires. No firepit use during quiet hours (10pm-7am) This home does not allow firepits. Firepits and grills may be restricted during local emergency conditions, check Massanutten Village website or electronic sign at entrance for updates. - Alcohol: No open containers on roads or in common areas - Pets: Leash always required when outside. Clean up after your pets. - Trash: Do not place trash outside the house, including on screened porches, decks or car ports. Trash attracts wildlife, some of which can endanger you and the property.
