Set amidst tall pines, it overlooks the lake and mountains with views from the house, two decks and a lake side patio and beach. Enjoy the sounds of nature and the warmth of the afternoon sun. Less than an hour from Portland, Maine, 30 minutes to North Conway and the White Mountains, and minutes to small towns with restaurants and shops. Whatever you choose to do, you will do it with spectacular views. You are welcome to the house and all it's amenities. Canoe and row boat are available with life preservers. In most instances we will be there to greet you upon arrival and will show you around. If we are unable to do so, we will arrange to leave a key. We live less than an hour away and can be available as needed, but will be available by text or phone. We may also be in residence at our cottage next door and available for any questions. Just a five mile drive will bring you to lovely Cornish Village where you will find a selection of restaurants for take away or for dining in. There are a variety of shops to keep you busy, including coffee shop, bakery, antique shops, gem shop, toy store, grocery store and more. Stone Mountain Arts Center offers a beautiful music venue on Stone Mountain just 5 miles away. North Conway and White Mountains offer hiking, canoeing, fishing, outlet shopping and more. Also close to both the Saco River and Ossipee River. Both are great for canoeing and kayaking. Guests may enjoy the canoe and rowboat to explore the lake and brook, enjoy lounging on the patio or floating dock. We encourage use of safety life preservers that are kept at the lake front.
