Our lovely lodge is on the outskirts of the charming town of Bennington. Come sit in the hot tub and watch South Stream flow right through the yard! Cook meals in our renovated and fully equipped kitchen. One downstairs queen bedroom is great for those don't like to climb stairs. Upstairs is a bunkroom great for the kids/extended family, and a massive King master room, with enough extra room for dancers and yoga practitioners! Total privacy as you can't see a neighbors house from the lot! The space This scenic home is located in the quaint, historic town of Bennington, Vermont. Sit in the hot tub and enjoy the soothing sounds of South Stream, which runs right through the middle of the property where it joins the fresh mountain water from Roaring Branch on the corner of the property - thus the name "Two Brooks". This house is the last house on the road and very private and quiet, yet lies only five minutes from shopping, restaurants, cafes, bookstores, and all the conveniences of Bennington. The property backs up to thousands of acres of the Green Mountain National Forest, and the Appalachian and Long trails are just up the mountain. Nine ski resorts are within 90 minutes of the house. Enjoy full satellite TV entertainment, blazing hi-speed Internet service, and free telephone during your stay while relaxing on a large leather sectional with recliners. South stream's water flows into the Walloomsac River and eventually out to the Hudson and down to New York City and the Atlantic Ocean! Year round activities await you from this peaceful base of operations. During the winters, enjoy snow mobiling (with a covered parking area for your machines on site). Excellent cross country skiing at Prospect Mountain is but 9 miles away, and supreme downhill skiing at Mt. Snow is only 28 miles away. During the summer, enjoy wildlife, hiking and biking, and during the fall enjoy the amazing color displays as the leaves change, and during the spring, enjoy nearby rafting and kayaking. Note: the last mile to the property is a gravel road this IS serviced by the City, including snow plowing. As the last house with services on the road, the plows will often turn around and plow into our driveway! Please note that during "mud season", around April/May, the road can get a little sloppy until the City grades it in June.
