Description

Your little cabin in the woods awaits. The cabin is situated on 383 acres, on the South Mountain formation in Frederick county. the property is adjacent to the Frederick City Watershed and within 15 minutes of 2 State Parks and a National Park. The cabin is fully equipped for your mountain get away and heated by a wood stove with propane heat in case of an emergency. We also provide internet that is reliable and fast for all your modern needs. The space The studio is a rustic cabin fully equipped for your get away. Hiking, mountain biking and exploring is right outside the door. Catoctin Quaker camp is owned and operated by Baltimore Yearly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends. The property is used for retreats and is home to our summer camping program for youth. The property is approximately 383 acres and is adjacent to the Frederick City Watershed which is open to the public for hiking and mountain biking and is home to much of the 28 mile Catoctin Trail which runs from the Gambrill State Park north to Cunningham Falls State Park and Catoctin Mountain National Park. Please use caution and wear blaze orange when moving about the property during hunting season. Guest access You will have exclusive use of the cabin during your stay. Often you will be the only people on the property. However, you may need to share the property with other groups. please be respectful and give others a little distance if they desire it. They will return the favor. Other things to note This cabin is quite rustic and located in a fairly remote, natural setting. For many this adds to it's charm but visitors should be prepared to carry a little firewood when necessary, hear wildlife outside at night and to be a little isolated.
