There is no need for bottled water. Most local stores by 2025 will not sell bottled water in hopes of protecting our environment Chargers Winter Gear: Hats, gloves, jackets, snow chains for your tires* Do you have any recommendations for grocery shopping, restaurants, hikes? Tahoe City has a Safeway, New Moon Natural Foods, and a few smaller market/deli options. Truckee has a Safeway, New Moon Natural Foods, Raleys One, and Grocery Outlet. Incline Village has a Raleys, Natural Grocers. We have a variety of restaurants, hikes, and fun things to do around Tahoe listed in our guest book binders which you’ll find upon arrival! We also have a local, on-demand ride service called the TART Connect but this may also have delays, please preview their website for more information. Additional services such as Doordash or Instacart are not available in our area. How should I prepare for winter road conditions? Will my driveway be cleared? Please check the California Highway Conditions before driving to Tahoe! This is very important as road conditions can change rapidly. Vehicles should have 4WD or AWD, Winter rated tires and carry snow chains in case of emergency. Vehicles with 2-wheel drive are not recommended in mountainous, winter conditions. County and local snow removal companies work diligently during winter storms, be patient and drive slowly. Tahoe roads and driveways can be slanted, hilly, and steep.
