The space In the late 1800s, the Carriage House housed Denison Markham's horses, carriage, and his loyal chauffeur Fred. It is now a light-filled and intimate private residence behind the grand 1893 home on this historic property once owned by Roger Williams' grandson. The first floor of the carriage house features a beautifully-appointed and fully-equipped kitchen and dinning area, with a sliding door to a private patio and shared yard and pool. The second floor is wide open with cathedral ceilings, interesting finishes, and multiple skylights. Listed on the national Register of Historic Places, the Markham Carriage House was recently renovated to the highest standards. Perfect for single travelers and couples, there is also a fold-out daybed for travelers with a young child. Fully equipped - just bring your suitcase! Roger Williams Park, the "jewel of Providence," is outside your door. Run, walk, hike, or bike on miles of trail and walking/riding path.
