Welcome to The Inn on Creeper Way & Trail Town USA! With the Virginia Creeper Trail only a few steps from the house, the Appalachian Trail just around the corner, & 5 other nationally known trails passing through Damascus, the outdoor adventure options abound. Whether you want to bike the Creeper Trail, hike the AT, fish the many nearby rivers, stroll the streets of our quaint mountain town, or simply relax on "The Porch," you'll be able to do it all during your stay at The Inn on Creeper Way! The Inn on Creeper Way offers cozy lodging for up to 8 guests; however, as soon as you see "The Porch," you may never want to go inside! Once you are able to pull yourself away from the best porch sittin' experience you've ever had, you will find an inviting and comfortable home waiting just for you. With 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, a large eat-in kitchen, and a spacious living room, you'll have everything you need and a perfect place to relax after a day of fun on the trails! The primary bedroom has a queen bed and en suite bathroom (tub/shower combo). The 2nd bedroom has 2 twin beds, and the 3rd bedroom has a twin daybed with a twin pullout trundle underneath. The 4th sleeping space is a queen sofa bed located in the living room. There is a full hall bathroom that also has a tub/shower combo. There is parking for 2-3 vehicles (depending on size) in the paved driveway. If you have more vehicles than will fit in the paved driveway, there is extra on-street public parking just around the corner within walking distance of the inn. You will have access to all of the living areas of the home. We are not able to offer access to the laundry room or the garage. As your hosts, Mark and Rachel will be available during your stay via the Airbnb app and/or phone to make your whole experience as pleasant as possible. Damascus has been affectionately named the "Friendliest Town on the Trail" by the countless hikers that pass through its borders on the Appalachian Trail. Whether you come by foot, by bike, by motorcycle or car, there is something for everyone in Damascus. The Inn on Creeper Way is conveniently located right in the heart of Damascus and is just a short walk or ride to nearby restaurants, a local brewery and a winery, outdoor outfitters, bike rental/shuttle services, and the town park. You'll also be close to the stunning vistas at Mt. Rogers (the highest mountain in Virginia) and Grayson Highlands State Park - a 4800 acre wilderness well-known for its herd of wild ponies. For history buffs, a 20-minute drive to Abingdon will be well worth it in order to see the many buildings and homes dating back to the 1700s, not to mention the famous Barter Theater and The Martha Washington Inn and Spa. And on a more practical note, a full grocery store - Food City - is only a quick 2 minute drive down the road. Step off the front porch of The Inn on Creeper Way and lace up your boots or hop on your bike, and you'll be getting around just fine! We absolutely love all our neighbors who are permanent residents and live on either side of and near the inn, and they love us, too! We obviously want that to continue. Please help us with this by being respectful of the fact that the inn is located in a residential neighborhood. During your stay, we ask that you keep noise levels low if you’re outside late at night, so as not to disturb our wonderful neighbors. Everyone loves a good party! However, if you are looking for a place to do some serious partying, we kindly ask that you find lodging accommodations elsewhere.
