As this is a new listing, please see the many reviews for us under 'host'. Please send inquiry about your preferred dates before booking. Thanks! If you love Sag Harbor, this is what you’ve been looking for. This property, a true compound with both main house, barn/carriage house, and pool, is all within walking distance to downtown Sag Harbor (12 min walk through historic neighborhoods) and all its restaurants, shops, marina as well as the bay beaches. But you’ll likely decide to spend the day lounging by the salt water pool, napping in the Brazilian hammocks strung between ancient silver maple trees, or taking in the sunset from the balcony that overlooks the grounds! Now about the home: The main house is a spacious 2,200 sq ft and has all the amenities you would expect; from the commercial Thermador range to the air bubble tub in the master bathroom suite. The home’s architecture is a modern take on the traditional Craftsman design, incorporating refined detail (coffered ceiling, flooring and countertops from reclaimed Alabama barn wood) with a modern layout (large, open kitchen that opens into a living room, dining room overlooking the gardens). More detail on each floor below. The first floor features an open chef’s kitchen, living room, dining room, and master bedroom suite (which is great for seniors as there are no stairs to navigate). The kitchen boasts all the top-shelf appliances (Thermador range, Viking fridge and dishwasher) as well as all the ancillary items you will need to make your stay exceedingly enjoyable (gourmet coffee grinder/maker, blender, etc). The dining room overlooks the back gardens and also opens to an outdoor dining area with brand new Weber gas grill (great for bbq’ing on those perfect summer nights!). The second floor features a large, light-filled sitting area that is flanked by two guest bedrooms each with queen beds. The sitting room has large flat screen TV (with cable package) and opens onto a balcony overlooking the back gardens and pool. The balcony is perfectly positioned for evening sunsets and features a turn of the century glider (sofa) and rocking chairs, making it a hard spot to leave. Note, the sitting room also has a giant, comfy sofa that pulls out into a queen bed. The home also contains a large finished basement that is perfect space for children to play during rain delays! The listing also comes with a separate barn/carriage house that is perfect for guests (or teenagers)! The barn has a large loft sleeping area with queen bed, exposed beams, and chaise lounge. The barn also has its own full bath, kitchen, and living/dining area that opens up onto the pool and gardens. Note: pool is typically closed after Labor Day.
