High Plains Drift Inn Courthouse Cabin

Taste the 1800s In our western Courthouse Cabin. Cowboy bunk-house style sleeping arrangement with 3 bedrooms with 2 bunk beds in each. Inviting kitchenette and full bath and shower, solar lighting, and a (modern) propane heater. Do the planet a favor and stay at our environmentally friendly, off grid solar powered and largely self sustaining ranch. Ranch Café on site serving hearty homestyle cowboy cooking, by reservation only. We can also provide horse rides. The space This cabin is two stories with two bedrooms upstairs and a living area between them. Downstairs there is a kitchen that has a stove and dining area, the kitchen is stocked with simple cook ware. There is a small refrigerator in the cabin. There is a full bathroom with bathtub, shower, toilet and sink. The third bedroom is downstairs. We are off grid and so there is no electrical outlets in the cabins. The cabins are heated with propane and your lighting is from solar. We ask guests to conserve their use of the solar and not leave lights on in rooms that are empty. There is also gas lighting that may be left on all night as a night light. Help gather the eggs or pick vegetables from the garden and watch the herd of horses gallop in from the range. Hang out and read a book or ask for directions to a nearby ghost town Guest access Guests may go where ever they like on the grounds and visit with the horses, goats, chickens, rabbits and dogs. Please do not enter horse pens. Other things to note There are stairs in this home. No electrical outlets in the cabin No smoking in cabins Cabins are pet friendly which means even if you do not have a pet the guest before may have had. So if you are allergic to animals we may not be the best place fit for you
