We have a large boat/slip and another small cottage on the property that we may or may not occupy during your stay. See photos. Outside Summer: Easy access to beautiful clear waters of McPhee Bay on Lake Simcoe. Bring your Boat ! This property offers 30’ of dockage suitable for large boats and watercraft but the waterfront is not suitable for swimming. It’s just a short 300 meter paddle board, canoe, kayak or boat ride from the dock to the crystal clear waters of McPhee Bay on Lake Simcoe. Our community offers a private park and beach for owners and guests and we are located directly beside McRae Point Provincial Park and Beach. You can “day use” the Provincial Park beach for a small fee. The bay water is very clear and there are multiple sand bars to pull your boat up to within minutes. The host has plenty of boating experience in the area. Fish from your private dock. We also have an outdoor fire pit for your personal use, lots of grass for lawn games, and bikes available for a ride to the Beach park or Provincial Park. There is a very nice walking trail in the Provincial Park that you may access for free. Outside Winter: If the conditions are right, skating may be possible on the canal directly in front of our cottage/dock. Guests may also enjoy the outdoor fire pit during the winter months. Winter Walking trails are available in McRae Provincial Park and the trail is an easy walk from the property. Ice fishing is possible on Lake Simcoe when fully frozen and there are also Ice Fishing Hut rentals nearby. Access to OFSC snowmobile trails are just across the bay when frozen or a 4km ride on the road or shoulder of the road when there is enough snow coverage. Inside: We have 2 small but well appointed bedrooms with a King Bed in one and 2 single beds in the other. The bedrooms both have hanging closets. We also have a separate sitting area with a TV and a nice queen size pull out sofa. The kitchen has ample cupboards and counter space, a dishwasher, convection oven and cooktop, built in microwave and a large fridge with an ice maker and cold water dispenser. The kitchen is well equipped with dishes, cutlery, utensils, pots, pans, Keurig coffee maker, drip coffee maker, electric kettle, sandwich grill and various basic spices. The natural live edge dining table will easily seat 6 - 8 people. The living area features a cozy propane gas fireplace, and leatherette reclining sofa, reclining loveseat and a separate electric leather recliner. We have a 55” TV and you may access your own Netflix account as well as Shaw Direct Satellite TV service for news, sports and various other programming selections. There is a sliding door that walks out to the deck which features a propane gas BBQ and sitting area. The bathroom is bright and roomy, and has a toilet, vanity, vanity plug and stand up shower stall with glass sliding door. White Bath towels are provided. There is also a full size stacked washer and dryer just outside the bathroom. Good spot to dry your wet towels ! The entire cottage is air conditioned for your comfort. Guest access The total property is 80’ x 300’ . There is a flat gravel parking lot and 1200 sq ft garage near the road. The garage is not accessible to guests. There is a separate private hedged section of the property that is approximately 40’x100’ which has a small 1 bdrm cottage and a 55’ boat slip and dock. During the summer months it is possible that the host may be on site using this private section of the property. The host will also have access to the parking area and the garage during this time.
