Vimy Peak Room offers a comfortable queen bed and three single beds found in a fun loft above! ***LOFT BEDS ARE FOR CHILDREN ONLY.*** Your hosts will provide a delicious hot breakfast which you can enjoy overlooking Canada’s rugged Rocky Mountains. The space Wake up to a mountain sunrise from the kitchen patio, roast marshmallows under the stars, cozy up by the fireplace with a book, take advantage of our free snowshoe rentals, or challenge your friends to a round of ping pong–we have everything you need to create an unforgettable vacation experience. Rocky Mountain Guest House is conveniently located directly off Hwy 5 in the hamlet of Mountain View, Alberta. Our Vimy Peak Room (named after one of Waterton Lakes National Park’s more prominent peaks) offers a comfortable queen bed in a bright and open room. There are three single beds and a fun play area for children (6 and older) in the loft above. There is also room for a portable crib if needed, which we provide for free. A bathroom and guest laundry room is directly across the hallway. We provide a home-cooked breakfast and sack lunches for hikers are also available for an additional price. We are happy to accommodate dietary restrictions, so please let us know prior to your arrival if you have any! Please note that we have a 20 lb, 5-year-old moyen poodle named Emmy that you may see poking around. If you are at all uncomfortable with dogs, please let us know as she has a friend to stay with close by if needed. While there is so much to explore outdoors in the area, the guest house has ample space for an enjoyable indoor experience as well. With a large living room, a reading nook and library, an exercise room, a TV room, and a sun room, there is room to relax and enjoy. A guest favorite is the large one-acre backyard. Featuring picnic tables, a fire pit, water features, outdoor games for both adults and children, and classic Adirondack chairs, there is something for everyone. We have tried to think of everything you might need to make your vacation memorable. From baby items (high chairs, portable cribs, and more), guest laundry, a fully equipped kitchen, games and puzzles, to blankets for around the fire, we've got you covered! If there is anything else you need we are happy to help you find it. We pride ourselves on a high level of cleanliness and work hard to keep the guest house in excellent condition. We guarantee that every piece of bedding and linen is washed between each guest, from pillowcases and towels to comforters and mattress protectors. We don’t settle for anything less than what we would hope to experience on our own travels! Guest access When you check in we provide an individual key to your room and a code to access the front doors. As our guests you are welcome to use any of the common living areas and the yard. You will also have access to the guest laundry room, with laundry detergent provided at no cost. During your stay We will be onsite or very close by in case there are any questions or concerns. We love to cook and are excited to serve our guests a hearty breakfast to get them on their way! We would also love to tell you about the amazing things there are to do in our area and hope to help make your vacation the trip of a lifetime! Other things to note Price includes GST and the Alberta Tax Levy. The guest house is located next door to The Barn Store which provides gasoline, a small convenience store, delicious hard ice cream, as well as locally produced clothing. The next largest grocery store is found in Cardston, about 20 minutes away. If there are any particular needs that you may have, we will gladly help you find a source or have it here waiting when you arrive. We speak Dutch (not perfect but enough to help you).
