This 2 bedroom, 2 bath open-concept home was built in 2006 and sits on 4 acres of private land for you to enjoy and explore. It's hard to decide where the yard ends and nature begins. Barbeque on the 280 sq. ft. covered porch and watch for Roosevelt Elk that often graze in the front field, sometimes as close as 30 feet from the house! Get cozy next to the gas fireplace under 17 foot vaulted ceilings and watch for bald eagle, black-tail deer and great blue heron--regular visitors of the property. Enjoy the outdoor fire pit area and stargaze on clear summer nights. Explore nearby Zeigler Creek, picnic under a giant Maple tree and take leisurely walks around the property. The Elk House property is tranquility at it's best! If you want to venture out, drive, bike or walk the South Shore Road and discover nearby hiking trails, explore the World's Largest Spruce Tree, visit the famous glacier-fed Lake Quinault, or jump in your car or take a guided tour of the 31 mile loop drive into the Olympic National Park to see spectacular waterfalls, giant evergreen trees and wildlife. While staying at the Elk House you will enjoy all the comforts of home. A fully functional kitchen with double convection oven and gas cook top, full-size built-in microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator allows you to enjoy family dining in a private and pristine setting.
