The cabin is located 10 min walking distance to Barton Springs Pool/Zilker Park, and the trails of the Barton Creek! Amazingly beautiful! It is pretty much near anything you would want to do, and the neighborhood is very safe and secure. There are loads of amazing restaurants (Uchi, Lorao, Odd Duck, Matt's El Rancho, Gourdoughs, The ABGB), the Alamo Movie/Drafthouse complex, and plenty of live music (ask for recs during pandemic, there are a couple places with outdoor shows that are safe and operating). The zip code of the rental is 78704 which you might know is close to SOCO and downtown. Barton Springs Pool and Zilker Park are right down the street. There is a bus not too far away, but I would always recommend a car to get around in Austin. Uber/Lyft can be handy.
