The Osprey cabin at Walker Pond is a new cabin (2021) with a custom cedar hot tub! It is a rustic retreat with plenty of modern convenience and is just 120 feet from Walker Pond. Walker Pond is approximately 20 acres and is home to plenty of wildlife, small fish and birds. You are welcome to enjoy our 40 acres of forest/wetland, go canoeing in one of our canoes, or enjoy the common campfire-flower garden area. The cabin is located just 5 minutes from downtown Newport, very convenient. The space Unique in design, this rustic cabin is fully functioning with all the essentials provided to make your stay comfortable. The custom built French windows open completely so you will have a great view of the pond! Everything inside is custom built, including the tile shower. Also included is a mini kitchen that contains essentials to prepare basic meals, gas grill, charcoal grill, large wall mounted TV, wifi, coffee, tea and our popular waffles. You will have access to the land and pond, so we invite you to go on a nature walk, have a campfire or go canoeing. You never know what kinds of animals you might see! So far we have seen moose, deer, bear, Osprey, Eagles, turkey, geese, ducks, heron, owls, otter, huge turtles, fish, and frogs.... just to name a few. Get your camera ready! This is shared space with other guests who are staying in the treehouse. You also have access the canoe's, which are located at the shore of the pond. Both canoe's are aluminum and stable. One is 15ft long the other is 18ft long. Other things to note We have a second rental, the Treehouse on Walker Pond. It's about 200ft from the Osprey Cabin.
