Each home is just a short walk to the beach and within close proximity to Destin Harbor and Crab Island, making it effortless to enjoy boating, dining, and waterfront activities. Together, these homes create a walkable, neighborhood-style experience where families and groups can stay near each other while enjoying private accommodations, all in one of Destin’s most sought-after locations known for its beaches, harbor access, and laid-back coastal charm.* The space Salty Skipper is an entire home in Destin, fully renovated in 2025 and thoughtfully arranged across two levels to accommodate up to 16 guests. Beach access is directly off the street, keeping the shoreline within easy reach throughout your stay. Sleeping arrangements The first floor serves as a central hub for larger groups and sleeps up to 12 guests. It features two king master suites, each with a private bathroom, along with a bunk room offering two queen-over-queen bunks that sleep up to eight. This level also includes a game room with a 70-inch Smart TV, a pool table, and a full sized refrigerator. The second floor offers a quieter retreat for up to four guests. Two additional king master suites each include a private bathroom. a living room, complete with a sectional sofa and a 70-inch Smart TV. This level also includes a fully stocked kitchen, a dining room with a large table and chairs, and a laundry room for added convenience. Outdoor living Outdoor space centers around the pool, a natural gathering spot throughout the day. Pool heat may be added for the duration of your reservation for an additional nightly fee of $75.00 and is available seasonally from October through May. Patio and backyard areas provide space to relax outdoors, and beach access is close by, with beach essentials available for your use. Amenities & comfort The home includes WiFi, Smart TVs throughout, washer and dryer, bathroom essentials, and air conditioning and heating for year-round comfort. Families will find a pack ’n play, children’s dinnerware, and thoughtful touches that make traveling with kids easier. Free parking is available on the premises. Pet-friendly stay Salty Skipper is pet-friendly and allows up to two dogs. A fee of $150.00 per dog per stay applies. Neighborhood & getting around Guests are within walking distance to nearby restaurants and attractions, with shopping, entertainment, and Destin highlights close by. Downtown Destin is easily accessible, and rideshare services, bike rentals, and public transportation make exploring the area simple. Guest access We offer convenient door codes for self-check-in. 850 Vacations by Portoro uses convenient keyless entry for self check-in, details provided 2 weeks (or less) prior to arrival by email and text message. • We cannot guarantee early check-ins or late check-outs, as both are subject to availability. Please contact us 24 hours prior to check-in to submit your request. Other things to note Please pay close attention to following the house rules. Non compliance could result in sizable fines. - All guests staying at an 850 Vacation Rentals by Portoro (Portoro Homes) are required to sign (esignature) a rental agreement and complete identity registration. - Age restrictions apply. Reservation holder must be 25 years of age. - All guests must be included on the guest list and not exceed the maximum number stated on the listing. - Upon arrival, we aim to ensure your safety, proper access to the home, and guest features. ALL guests are required to read the house manual upon arrival. Should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to 850 Vacation Rentals by Portoro. - Known damages incurred during your stay must be reported to the property manager immediately. - Before check in, we will send you detailed directions to ensure a seamless arrival. - Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. Check-out time is 10:00 a.m. - We cannot guarantee early check ins or late checkouts. When it is possible to check in early or check out late, there will be a fee for anything outside of a one hour window within our standard times. If your need for an early check in or late check out is great, your best option is to book an additional night. - Parking: Information about parking will be noted in the check-in instructions received by the Guest prior to arrival. - Some homes have cameras for external monitoring only. - HOTEL TAX COLLECTION: In the State of Florida and in Walton, Okaloosa, and Bay Counties, all hotel and vacation rental hosts are required to collect hotel tax. We collect these taxes within the booking transaction. - This is a No Smoking property. Penalty fees for violations will apply and you may be asked to vacate the premises with no refund at the discretion of the Host. - Golf Cart (Low Speed Vehicle, "LSV") Rental Discount Portoro has partnered with Destin Florida Golf Cart Rentals, LLC to offer our guests 15% Off their golf cart (Low Speed Vehicle) rental! Contact details and pricing for Destin Florida Golf Cart Rentals, LLC will be listed at the property and in your check-in details. - Animals/Pets -- Dogs Only, Guidelines and Fee* Animals/pets must be disclosed prior to reservation arrival date. Only dogs are permitted in “Pet-Friendly” Property listings. Allowed number of dogs will be expressly stated in the listing and a $150.00 fee per animal/pet is required. Animals/pets are not permitted anywhere on the premises unless prior approval is obtained. Any unauthorized animals/pets at the property will result in a $150.00 per day / per animal/pet fee, and may result in your reservation being canceled, and you may be required to vacate from the Property. -- The property allows for a maximum of 2 dogs at $150.00 per dog per stay. *Service Animals: 850 Vacation Rentals by Portoro is committed to providing reasonable accommodation to protect the rights of guests with disabilities to bring service animals (excludes emotional support animals) under the terms of The Fair Housing Amendments Act of 1988, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act. If you need a service animal to ease the symptoms of a disability (as defined under the above Acts), and have the Animal/Pet Fee waived, submit a request in writing to 850 Vacation Rentals by Portoro and include whether or not the service animal is required because of a disability as well as what work or task the service animal has been trained to perform. Any unauthorized animals/pets at the property will result in a $150.00 per day / per animal/pet fee, and may result in your reservation being canceled, and you may be required to vacate from the Property. - Pool Heat Guidelines and Fee Some homes offer pools/hot tubs. There is no guard around the water features when available. Use at your own risk. - If the Property includes an on-site pool that offers optional heating, you may request that the pool be heated for the duration of your reservation dates at an additional nightly fee of $75.00. - Please note: Pool heat is seasonal and only available for request October - May. - Events/Weddings and Parties -- Guidelines Events and large gatherings are not permitted at this property. Any gathering that exceeds the home’s stated maximum occupancy is strictly prohibited. To ensure a peaceful and enjoyable stay for all guests and neighbors, parties, celebrations, and group events of any kind are not allowed. Weather/Travel: Guest booking in seasons when weather conditions may affect their decision to travel understand they are choosing to do so in full knowledge of the season and agree that last minute requests to cancel or attempts to change stay/reservation dates in these seasons are not honored and no refund or reimbursement applies. 850 Vacation Rentals by Portoro encourages guests to consider available 3rd party travel insurance options for their stays if this is a concern.
