The area provides a wealth of outdoor activities in all weather. Our backyard also provides a peaceful retreat to read a book or enjoy a glass of wine on the deck. Our guests consistently remark on how clean this home is! ...We will allow ONE well behaved dog if approved and agreement to the rules for pets. For entertainment and recreation, the area boasts so many options, you'll want to come back again to do what you didn't have time for. Our home is nestled among shade trees and surrounded by woods and endless acres of trails. We have easy access to hiking/biking trails, lakes, the mighty Sturgeon River and beautiful Burt Lake State Park. Ski resorts are 30 minutes away. Take a hike, snowshoe or enjoy a 4 wheeling ride out the back door! This home will provide a relaxing spot to come back to after your adventures or to get away from it all. Enjoy a BBQ on roomy deck with plenty of seating. Enjoy a s'more at the fire pit out back and the kitchen is equipped for any cooking you want to do. We have full laundry and comfortable beds with an open floor plan. The kitchen includes coffee maker, smoothie maker, skillets, all the dishes and utensils you'll need and even a few pantry items to make it more convenient. Although we don't have A/C, we are shaded with large trees and have ceiling fans throughout the home as well as auxiliary fans available for use. We provide bed linens as well as bath towels. We have the WIFI, ROKU TV, Amazon Video, Netflix, YouTube TV, DVD, a Wii and board games and puzzles, as well as a few toys. Fishing opportunities are plentiful with the inland waterway system so close by. We are 1/2 mile and 2 miles from great access points to kayak or tube the Sturgeon and about 1/2 mile from the trail head for groomed snowmobile trails (North- Central Trail //Indian River/Petoskey Trail). We are 3 miles from Burt Lake State Park beach and boat launch and Big Bear Adventures and about 20-30 minutes from Petoskey, Harbor Springs, Mackinaw, Gaylord and Cheboygan for unlimited adventures and dining.
