The space This private family compound sits on the scenic shores of Moosehead Lake, overlooking Mt. Kineo. Surrounded by towering pines, it offers the perfect balance of peaceful relaxation and outdoor adventure—whether you’re fishing, boating, hiking, ATV riding, or spotting moose, Moosehead truly has it all. The property includes a main lodge and three separate cabins, originally built as a boys’ camp in the early 1900s and thoughtfully updated to preserve their historic charm while offering modern comforts, including Starlink high-speed internet. Beautiful landscaping and cabin style furnishings create a setting that feels authentically Maine. This unique compound is ideal for family reunions, yoga retreats , or groups of friends looking to gather while still enjoying privacy. The entire property is included with your reservation and is not rented separately. Sleeping arrangements include a main lodge with a master bedroom, a bunk room, full kitchen, and dining area; a second cabin with two twin beds, a small kitchen, and bath; plus two additional sleeping cabins—one with bunk beds and one with a queen bed. A newly built shower house adds additional comfort and convenience. Enjoy stunning lakefront sunsets with views of Mt. Kineo, some of the best fishing in the region, and by night, star-filled skies with the chance to catch the Northern Lights right from the property. Outdoor enthusiasts will love the location. Mt. Kineo—one of the area’s most iconic hikes—is just nearby, offering breathtaking panoramic views and a beautiful pebble beach perfect for a picnic. A full-service marina within 5 miles makes boat rentals easy, with the option to bring your boat directly to put at our mooring. Canoe and kayaks are also available on-site. While the property feels wonderfully remote, the charming town of Greenville is just 20 miles away, offering restaurants, shops, marinas, and classic Maine favorites like ice cream and candy stores. A local convenience store, and casual restaurant are also just a few miles away. This is a peaceful, nature-focused retreat—not a party property. We welcome respectful guests looking to relax, reconnect, and enjoy everything this special setting has to offer.
