Leave the car parked. We are 10 min free shuttle or drive to base of Ski Mountain. Best of both worlds! Slogar Restaurant is fantastic for family style fried chicken. Ryce is Asian and Soupçon is French. Sunflower as well. Please note: limited parking - only two cars fit. Three can be squeezed. NO MORE can be parked without blocking access road so please don't try! Police and neighbors enforce the no parking rule along Journey's End Road and cars have been towed in the past. In the summer there is a walking trail down to town that takes you to corner 3rd Street and Red Lady Avenue (Ice skating rink/Nordic Center). Apple maps recognizes this trail if you want navigation, but G00gle maps does not, and will send you the long way on Route 135. The trail is walkable with sneakers but is not lit at night. However, the house is not infant or toddler ready: no high chairs, no cribs, no pack and play, no safety gates on staircases.
