A 3 minute walk to a private, sandy beach with clear water. 2 other beaches nearby. The cottage feels very private but not isolated. Well stocked open concept kitchen, dining area and living room. Dishwasher. 2 queen beds and 1 double bed. Pillows and blankets provided. 2 washrooms, one with shower & tub. Washer and dryer. Air conditioning and heating and electric fireplace. Many utensils, dishes, and pots and pans. Fridge, stove, microwave, toaster, coffee maker & grinder, kettle, air popper, blender, and slow cooker. Basic spices and condiments, hand and dish soap are provided. The municipal water is excellent for drinking. BBQ and outdoor dining and seating areas. Chaise lounges and chairs for reading/napping under the trees. Beach chairs, umbrellas, wagon, beach toys and water shoes provided. Unlimited Wi-fi. Smart TV, DVD, Stereo, books and games. There are 2 decks: one off the upper front bedroom for quiet times and the other off the living room for dining and relaxing. Firepit in the back yard for roasting marshmallows and making s'mores, or simply relax and enjoy the stars. 4 bicycles to explore the beach roads and hiking paths.2 private beaches within walking distance and a public beach 1 km away with playground, washroom and deli/convenience store. A public beach (10 minute drive south) with an arcade and restaurants. The local village (5 minute drive) has 3 restaurants, specialty food store, bakery, LCBO, convenience store, gas station, fresh fish outlet. Within a 10-20 minute drive: A go-kart track & mini-putt, a provincial park (Awenda); 4 golf courses (1 has a stocked fishing pond with equipment for rent). Within a 15-20 minute drive from Midland and Penetang with restaurants, shopping, historical sites (Martyr's Shrine, St. Marie Among The Hurons, King's Wharf Military Naval Establishment), movie theatre and performance theatres. 40 minute drive to Elmvale Zoo. Guest access The whole cottage and property are yours to enjoy. Other things to note Pillows, blankets, duvets, tea towels, dish cloths, toilet paper, paper towel, soap, shampoo, conditioner and dish liquid are provided. SHEETS, PILLOW CASES AND TOWELS FOR BEACH AND BATH ARE NOT PROVIDED. A few sizes of Beach/water shoes are provided. Beach toys, chairs, umbrellas, and wagon provided. Wood for outdoor fire pit can be purchased locally. If you use the fire pit, keep the flame low. Use the water hose available to put the fire out COMPLETELY. A wind during the night could easily start the flame again and with all the trees around, could pose a hazard. NEVER leave the fire unattended. GARBAGE - no garbage should ever be left outside or raccoons, etc. will get into it. There are garbage/recycling/organic bins at end of driveway. There's a calendar in the pantry indicating the weekly garbage schedule. Garbage pickup is early Monday morning. Please put appropriate bins at side of road before 7:00 a.m. Monday.
