The Market Guesthouse

Welcome to our country retreat 1/2 mile from I-65. Stay for a night during a road trip or a little longer and enjoy the area. Visit the Poarch Creek museum or casino at Exit 57. We're close enough for day trips to FL & AL beaches (about 1.5 hours). If you're into history, it's not far to the USS Alabama battleship or Fort Mims. Across the street is The Warehouse Market & Bakery, so you can grab some cinnamon rolls and groceries. Splash pad, parks, shopping & more in the town of Atmore (6 miles). The space This is a newly remodeled but older home. As such, the bedrooms are on the small side, but the living area is very spacious. The back yard does adjoin a cow pasture (cows are sometimes there, sometimes not -- not within our control). The sunset views can be phenomenal! Guest access Guests can access the entire home. There is ample room for boat parking if you're in the area to enjoy fishing the many vast river system of the Delta. Larger vehicles (long moving trucks, etc.) are able to be parked across the street at The Warehouse Market & Bakery. Other things to note Pets are no longer allowed. ALSO, the cleaning fee is set for basic cleaning for 4 guests. There is a small additional charge for more than 4 people to offset the additional laundry and bedding use. Please be honest when booking. There is NO SMOKING in the house. Please plan accordingly.
