Desert Hot Springs Water contains both sodium and potassium, two minerals that play a large role in balancing fluids in the body and are also important for nerve conduction and muscle contraction. Silica helps heal wounds, build bones, and support connective tissues, particularly collagen. The water at Koi Springs house and even the water in the pool, spa, and pond originate from the Mission Springs Desert Hot Springs Aquifer. Hot or cold, for centuries, this water has been believed to hold curative powers and it is odorless. Soaking in hot mineral water, commonly referred to as Balneotherapy, is known to provide the body with valuable nutrients needed to increase blood circulation, eliminate toxins, stimulate metabolism, balance your body's natural systems, improve PH levels, and relieve pain and stress. Desert Hot Springs water is highly rated drinking water as well and won many competitions. If you don’t want to have a private massage at the property you have option to treat yourself to a spa day at many close by Spas. You'll want to have a car. There is plenty of street parking. Desert Hot Springs has no parking meters. Uber is available too. ADDITIONAL AMENITIES/SERVICES (Extra Charge) POOL AND JACUZZI/SPA HEATING Complimentary Solar Pool heating is included in the rental price. (Solar pool heating performs the best from June to September and is not efficient in the winter months. ) During cold months (recommended from October to May) natural gas heating is available for an additional fee per day starting $100 -$150/day. ( 3 days minimum including preheating day). The price depends on the weather and outside temperature. The pool is heated using solar and gas during the day but not at night. If you purchase pool heating jacuzzi/spa heating is unlimited. Depending on how cold the water and outdoor temperatures are at the time, it may take 24 hours or longer to preheat the pool to the desired temperature. Please note that we do not make money on pool heating. The colder the temperature outside, the more energy is needed to heat the pool and it will cost more to heat the pool. Our gas cost to heat the pool is $15/hour. We can help you strategize if or when to heat the pool so it is cost-effective for you. Complementary jacuzzi/spa heating is capped to 2 hours per day. *To use complementary spa heating we require the spa to not be activated between 8 am and 4 pm to allow the pool to filter and remain clean for guests. This requirement ensures the pool remains clean by allowing it to filter. Jacuzzi / spa only heating is available for $50/day. Let’s make sure to discuss this before your arrival. Therapists will arrive fully equipped with sturdy comfortable massage tables, clean linens for every guest, and respect all COVID-19 health regulations as dictated by law. The chef will provide you with a well-curated meal custom to your preferences, dishes that are Gluten-Free, Vegetarian, Vegan, Dairy-free, Organic, and more. EARLY CHECK-IN AND LATE CHECK-OUT REQUESTS If you need special accommodations with early check-in and late check-out we will gladly help UPON AVAILABILITY for additional extra fee. All late check-out requests need to be submitted before 8:30 pm the evening before check out. We are not able to guarantee early check-in and late checkout if you don’t communicate with the host on time. Non-authorized late checkout is not allowed ( *see early check-in and late check-out info and pricing in our house rules) MIDWEEK OR MID-STAY CLEANING SERVICE Please inquire about availability 1 week before check-in. Please note that the washer and dryer are not listed as part of the short-stay amenity on this Airbnb. We provide plenty of fresh clean towels for your stay. Mid-week laundry and cleaning services are available on demand for an extra charge. ( must be arranged in advance). LONGER STAY If the host approves longer stays (28 days or more) all utilities (increased due to pool and spa heating) will be charged extra and an increased security deposit will be collected within 24 hours of booking to keep the reservation. *For month long stays we do require a cleaning once every ten days. AIR MATTRESSES Air mattresses listed on the booking are available on DEMAND ONLY for bigger groups. Please reach out to us for more info. Each extra guest fee after the 6th guest is $50/day which will be calculated in your total nightly booking. If you do not have any reviews or average under 4 stars we will require a $500 refundable security deposit. ---------------------------- *IMPORTANT NOTES All bookings made during Coachella, Stagecoach or other festivals will require a $500 refundable deposit. This deposit will be returned to you after you check out assuming there’s no damage or broken rules during your stay. If you choose to cancel your reservation prior to checking in, the $500 deposit will not be refunded. The remaining balance of the reservation will follow our cancellation policy. PARKING - IMPORTANT You will not have access to the garage. The garage is excluded from renting and you will need to park vehicles in a designated driveway ( fits two cars). If you have more cars you can park on the street or use RV parking. (Max 4 cars). Please don’t park on the street in front of our neighbor above. CLEANING STANDARDS We follow Airbnb’s five-step enhanced cleaning process, which is based on Airbnb’s cleaning handbook that was developed in partnership with experts. The pool and spa are professionally cleaned twice a week and with strong winds, you find leaves and flowers in the pool and spa. The home is professionally cleaned and sanitized and dust is common in the desert if doors and windows are left open. The home is sprayed against bugs every month but this is the desert environment so understand we don’t have control especially when doors are left open. HOUSE RULES / SECURITY / CITY AND COUNTY ORDINANCES *Please take the time to read and completely understand all house rules/conditions and make sure to explain them to all guests. Please note that our home is NOT A PARTY HOUSE. Noise monitors and security cameras are installed on the property per City and County ordinances to be sure that short-term rental ordinances are followed. All cameras are disclosed under the safety section on Airbnb. Quiet hours are from 10 pm to 8 am daily. No cameras inside the home.
