Description

We’re minutes from Treetops Ski Resort and the snowmobile trail sits right at the end of our road! This central air-conditioned lakefront ranch overlooks Kassuba Lake, sleeps 6, and features 2 cozy bedrooms, 1 bath, a full kitchen and a spacious living/dining area. Bedroom one has a king bed; bedroom two has two twin-over-full bunks. Large windows bring in natural light, and the kitchen is fully stocked with cookware and dinnerware. Enjoy a 58" Smart TV, HDMI gaming hookup, DVD player, and WiFi. The space We are minutes from Treetops and Otsego ski resorts - minutes away from the snowmobile trails. We are 30 minutes from Boyne. Enjoy the winter activities of Gaylord - ski, snowmobile, cross country ski, snowshoe, winter rafting! The entire house has been newly renovated. The beds are new and have memory foam mattresses. We offer cotton, microfiber and flannel sheets, and down alternative comforters with duvet covers that offer a luxurious night's sleep! There are also super soft blankets available for each bed. The king size bedroom has two dressers, two night stands with table lamps that offer 2 USB ports. The bunk bed room contains one dresser, a vanity table and bench, a night stand and table lamp. There is a weight limit of 175 pounds max in each top bunk. Enjoy the scenery and tranquility of outdoors either in the front or back of the house. The lakeside of the house offers a patio table and chairs and propane grill, while the roadside of the house offers a bistro table set. Please note: some amenities are only offered seasonally (April - October): rowboat, kayaks, fire pit, patio furniture and grill. Our "mini-entertainment closet" contains a few games, decks of cards, dice and puzzles so you can enjoy your family time. It wouldn't be a true "up north" visit without a game or two of euchre! Kick back and relax on the leather reclining couch, loveseat and rocking chair. Watch your favorite shows or movies on the 58" screen Smart TV. Use your own Amazon, Netflix, Hulu or Roku account. A remote HDMI cord is provided if you would like to bring your own gaming system. A DVD player is provided so bring your own DVDs for you or the kids to watch. We do provide a small library of DVDs to borrow. The kitchen is fully stocked for 8 guests: dinnerware, drinkware, cooking and serving dishes. Small appliances include a Keurig and regular coffee maker, microwave, crock pot, griddle, toaster, can opener, hand mixer and blender. Plenty of pots and pans will satisfy most chef's (or not a chef) needs. Serving bowls, trays, cookies sheets, cooking utensils, BBQ utensils are provided. (Note: we are septic friendly, so there is not a dishwasher or garbage disposal). The dining area has two tables; one that seats 4 guests in the eat-in kitchen and one table in the dining area that seats 6. Both dining areas have picturesque views of the lake. Enjoy a shower or bath in the beautifully tiled bathroom. We offer a hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner and body wash, 4 beach towels and 8 each of bath towels, washcloths and hand towels. We also offer a "oops, I forgot" bathroom amenity box in case you forgot to pack a bathroom essential item. (Note: we are septic friendly, so please only toilet tissue flushed). The mud room offers skiers and snowmobilers a glove and boot-dryer and warmer, along with a dedicated space to store and hang your winter snow gear. There are also two benches to assist in gearing up and plenty of room to store golf clubs for the summertime guests! Kassuba Lake Retreat is the perfect northern Michigan getaway, nestled along the shoreline of quiet, non-motorized Kassuba Lake. Conveniently located only 3 miles from downtown Gaylord, off M32, minutes from many world class golf, ski, snowmobile, or water sport destinations. Enjoy quiet relaxation, fun with the family, or exploring all the unique destinations northern Michigan has to offer. The home overlooks the waterfront, where you can enjoy the shaded tranquility of Kassuba Lake.​  Kassuba Lake provides great fishing opportunities, swimming, and non-motorized boating. Bring your kayaks and paddle boards or feel free to use the included rowboat or kayaks.  Many other all-sport lakes are only a short distance away to enjoy, including Otsego Lake. Guest access Guests have access to the entire property, including a dock on the lake. Other things to note You have lake access and use of a private dock. To access the lake, you need to walk down a steep hill (there is no formal walkway) and be able to walk stairs. Our driveway is on a slope. 4WD is highly recommended in the winter. Kayaks, boat, patio set, fire pit and grill are not available during the winter season. The fire pit is subject to the DNR burn ban site. Please view their website before burning. *Note - you will need to provide your own fire wood. (do not burn rubbish or debris in the firepit)
