The Crest is a lovingly-built retreat in Bournemouth on the beautiful Dorset coast. This stunning, open-plan lodge is located in the popular area of Southbourne, just a 15 min walk to the high street and a 20 min stroll to the stunning blue-flag, sandy beaches. It is perfectly located for exploring Christchurch harbour and is also a 10 min walk from Tuckton Quay. Themed in a modern coastal design, including original, local artworks, The Crest is perfect for a relaxing couples get-away. The space The Crest is an airy, open-planned space with a separate modern bathroom including an electric shower, toilet and sink. The bedroom area contains a comfy double bed with USB charging points at each side (bed linen and towels will be provided). The kitchen / dining / lounge area has ample worktop space and includes a fridge with ice box, sink, microwave, induction hotplate, kettle and toaster - perfect for cooking up a hearty breakfast before your day out exploring the wonderful sights of Dorset. Adjoining the kitchen is a lounge and dining area with a cosy sofa and TV with Freeview (Complimentary WIFI available). The outside space is entered at the front of the property from the driveway, with its own private access and garden. The double french doors open onto a private patio garden were you can enjoy your favourite bottle of wine and sit back and relax! Guest access One off-road parking space is provided with the accommodation, however, there is plenty of roadside spaces if you need additional parking. The local shops of Tuckton are a 5 min walk away, where you can find a Tesco Express, post office, laundrette, bakery, butchers and several cafes , eateries and takeaways. Southbourne high street is a 15-20min walk away and has many amenities and lovely independent shops, bars and restaurants. Getting out and about the local area is easy from The Crest: there is a bus stop at the end of the road which takes you into Bournemouth town centre for links further afield or Christchurch in the opposite direction. A 2min walk away you will find a Beryl Bike park, which allows you pay-as-you-go hire of the bikes and electric scooters - a great way to see the whole 7 miles of sandy coastline! Several train stations are close by: Christchurch train station is 1.3miles, Boscombe station is 1.4 miles and Bournemouth is 3.4 miles. A 2min drive away, (or 10min walk), is the River Stour, with slipways and access points for paddle boarding or boating. If you prefer the beach (20min walk/5min drive), we can loan you a beach trolley to carry your picnic and sun loungers! We are also perfectly located for exploring the New Forest - close to the Hampshire border (just a 15 - 20 min drive), which is great for beautiful scenic walks and picnics or exploring the many exhilarating mountain bike trails for the more adventurous!
