Escape to Gairlochy North Cottage, a recently built luxury cottage on stunning Drag Lake in Haliburton! This 3,300 square foot cottage was lovingly built by the owner’s father. Located on a calm bay, the cottage truly boasts the best of both worlds, offering a peaceful retreat while being less than 10 minutes away from all the amenities of Haliburton village. Great fishing and swimming off the dock or use the kayaks, paddle board or canoe to explore the lake. The space The cottage is bright and spacious making it ideal for groups and families. The owners have children so the cottage is well equipped for young guests. Air Conditioning, Starlink fast wireless internet, built in Sonos sound system, cell service and Apple TV are all at your disposal. THE SPACE: - 5 bedrooms including 2 Kings, 1 Queen, 1 Double, and 2 bunk beds (Note: Loft bedroom with Queen bed is open to living room space below, bed and bathroom are private however) - 3.5 bathrooms - Fully equipped open concept kitchen - Dining table seats nine plus four additional at kitchen island - Huge deck overlooking the lake - Cozy screen room - Large basement rec room includes large TV, sectional sofa, wet bar and dart board - In Floor heating in basement, bathrooms and kitchen LOCATION: - 2.5 hours from Toronto - 8 minutes to Haliburton village on a municipally maintained road (groceries, restaurants, coffee shop, bakery, antiques, playground, walking trail, boat rentals, summer farmers market) - 10 minutes to Fleming College Haliburton Campus - 20 minutes to Sir Sam's Ski Hill - 25 minutes to Minden village We provide a detailed area guide of all the area's activities. LAKESIDE FUN: - Large dock and deck over the water - Lily pad, 2 adult kayaks, kids kayak, canoe, paddle board - Fishing off the dock - Corn hole - Fire Pit - 5 minutes from public boat launch - Boats, jet skis and other water toys are available to rent nearby and can be delivered AMENITIES: - Hot Tub - Air Conditioning - Starlink fast wireless internet throughout the property including the dock - Cell service - 2 large TV’s with Apple TV and Sonos sound bars - In ceiling speakers throughout cottage and on the deck that can be controlled by the Sonos app to play your favorite music service, podcasts, or audio from TV’s - Dart board, Horseshoes, Bocce - Plenty of board games for young and old - Kids books, high chair, games and toys - BBQ TOWELS/LINENS - Guests bring their own bath and beach towels. - Bed linens provided for 2 King primary bedrooms only, guests to bring linens for the other beds (sheets, blanket/comforter, pillowcases) HOT TUB: - $75 of the cleaning fee is allocated to hot tub cleaning. If you do not wish to use the hot tub during your stay let us know and we will remove this fee. RULES: - Do not book this cottage for partying. We welcome everyone to enjoy our family cottage but please do not book if you plan to party. We reserve the right to require an additional cleaning fee for any excessive damage or messiness left after check out. Any group found to be misrepresenting themselves will be asked to leave and will not be refunded. - 8 people maximum (we can consider additional guests on a case by case basis which may be subject to an additional charge - please request with Host) - Absolutely no unregistered overnight guests. Please notify owners about any daytime visitors. The property manager lives on the road and is able to monitor the number of cars. He may also greet guests for check in and check out. An exterior security camera faces the driveway to deter break ins and unauthorized parties. - Primary renter must be over 25 - No pets - No smoking anywhere on the property - No loud music or excessive noise. We can consider additional guests on a case by case basis. An additional fee may apply. Fill bed linens are provided for the two King primary bedrooms only. Guests to bring linens for the other beds (sheets, blanket/comforter, pillowcases).
