Modern Cottage in the Village of Leland

Our place is in the village of Leland, close to Lake Leelanau and historic Fishtown. You’ll love our place because it is a newer home and has the coziness of a cottage with modern amenities for a comfortable stay. PLEASE NOTE: During the summer weeks of June 14 to August 30, 2026, we only rent full weeks from Sunday at 4pm to the following Sunday at 11am. The space Since originally building our cottage, we have constructed a garage and owner living space behind the original cottage. We live in the space behind the cottage and rent the original cottage space. The owner-living space is separated from the rental cottage by exterior doors on all three floors for complete privacy. Our guests have full access to the outdoor covered porch area of the original cottage. The owners have separate outside space in the back of the home. The owner's living space has a separate driveway and entryway. Our rental space is a modern 3-story cottage with a full basement. There is a master bedroom with a queen-size bed and attached bathroom on the first floor. There are two bedrooms on the second floor, each with queen-size beds. One of the second floor bedrooms connects to a bathroom which is also accessible from the hallway. The second floor has an open loft area with a sleeper sofa. The third floor has an open loft area with two built-in sleeping bunks. The sleeping bunks each have queen-size beds and privacy curtains. The 1st floor bathroom has a tiled shower. The 2nd floor bathroom has a soaking tub with shower. The 3rd floor bathroom has a shower stall. In the basement, we have a washer and dryer, and ironing board with iron. The living room has a large screen HD TV, Blu-ray disc player, and a sound system. The master bedroom also has a TV. The home has Dish Network TV and Wi-Fi Internet service. There is a full kitchen with all appliances, food/spice staples, a drip coffee maker, and a Keurig machine. We have a wrap-around covered porch with lounge chairs and a dining table. We also have a flat yard on the side and front of the home. We can also provide Level 2 Electric Vehicle (EV) charging on site. We have an 11.5 kW "destination" charger for 4-6 hour full charging. Compatible with Tesla vehicles and vehicles with J-1772 charge ports. Please inquire about EV charging needs with the property owner before arrival. Guest access Guests have the entire original cottage space for themselves, including use of the covered porch, and the front and side yards. We also have a fire pit with 10 chairs and propane grill for guest use. The doors have electronic locks and you will be given a code to enter the home. Other things to note The home has natural gas heat, air conditioning, and excellent quality well water. Unfortunately, we are not able to allow our guests to use the wood stove due to insurance policy restrictions.
