Come visit and go back in time. The child- and pet-friendly Blacksmith is located in The Village between the Whiskey Still and the Smokehouse. Nearby is the Woodshop, Cider Mill, Shingle Mill, Victorian Cottage, and Train Depot. Originally owned by George Carney, the Village was built to house craftsmen selling their wares. We are 36 miles from Fort Leonard Wood and 15 miles from Fugitive Beach! The gorgeous 54 acres provides plenty of space to explore the beauty of the Ozark highlands. The space The Blacksmith Bungalow was built in 2019 to take the place of the original Blacksmith shed. Stylish furnishings and high quality linens make your stay especially comfortable. We provide many amenities, including an assortment of spices, condiments, and other kitchen items for your convenience. Enjoy your rocking chairs on your covered patio while listening to the crickets and owls in the evenings, after an amazing firefly show. Nature trails take you to the year-round creek and pond with a forest backdrop. DEDICATED OUTDOOR PICNIC SPACE: The beautiful Shingle Mill is next door to the Blacksmith and is your dedicated space to use. We provide a charcoal grill (plus charcoal, lighter fluid, and lighter), picnic table, two-person swing, and folding chairs to place around the fire pit. All the firewood that you could possibly use is also provided. ADDITIONAL GUESTS: There is an additional fee of $20 per person per night for guests numbering over 6. Guests must bring all their own bedding for the additional guests. The additional amount is requested once the guest confirms the total number staying in the home. PETS: Pets are permitted so long as guests follow our strict “Pet Policy" and pay the $60 Pet Fee (one fee per stay). Pet Policy: Guests may bring two pets so long as the following rules are followed: 1. Pets are not allowed on beds or bedding. 2. Pets must be kenneled at all times when guests are not present. 3. Pets must be accompanied by owner and kept on a leash when outside. 4. Guests must clean up after their pets and dispose of any waste in the garbage cans provided in the Smokehouse. Both the Victorian and Log Cabin are on the same hilltop property as the Blacksmith and the Meadow Loft is a short walking distance down to the meadow. There is no place in the Rolla area like this one. Guest access The Blacksmith Bungalow is a one-level home. There is one step up from the road to the front porch. This home has wide hallways and doorways, and the master shower has a slight step over the shower threshold. Other things to note Pets are not permitted on beds and must be kenneled if away from owners and suffer from anxiety. Outdoor clean up supplies are available and pets are to be kept on leashes when outside on the property.
