You can enjoy the view from the deck or from inside as there are large windows all the way across the front of the house. This vacation rental sits on the side of a mountain that over looks The Cache la Poudre River Valley and The Front Range Mountains. It has world-class bird watching and you can often see eagles and hawks flying over Lake Watson and sometimes soaring right above the deck as well as hundreds of other species that either migrate through or nest in the trees on the property. The Cache la Poudre River Canyon is truly a hidden treasure, with majestic cliffs and intriguing rock formations enveloped in ponderosa and lodge pole pines and aspen. It is famous for it’s river rafting, back country skiing, fishing, hiking trails, with spectacular views of The Rocky Mountains, canyons and river valley meadows, designated wild life viewing areas for unique animals like big horn sheep / rams and is also a great place to simply take an incredibly scenic drive and stop for lunch or dinner at a restaurant if you are only here for a short while. You can watch the rams while you are eating. Downtown Fort Collins is a scenic area called Old Town that is rich in history. It is comprised of old western, false front style, stone and brick buildings with a bricked in street that provides for a pedestrian mall. It is home to numerous, wonderfully unique non-chain restaurants, all kinds of shopping, arts and crafts, world famous independent beer breweries, music and art festivals, the beer bike tour and more! The place is of rustic, mountain style décor and construction. Almost everything is made from local rocky mountain pine trees. The place is always in good shape and has a cleaning service. Kitchen and bathroom fixtures are a little bit out dated but in good working order. Other things to note **NEW INTERNET PROVIDER - FAST SPEED** There is off the street parking and a flight of steps from the driveway to the house as it sits on the side of a mountain. Something to consider if someone in your group has a hard time with stairs.
