Hoots Roost, Catskills

Like camping or glamping? I’m offering my roost (master bedroom) in my cozy summer home to you while I’m making renovations. Situated in the Catskill Region, my place is within walking distance of lakes, rivers, and streams. Many of the most popular local attractions are within reach by car. We share a driveway with the neighbors, yet my property contains two+ private acres of tall maple trees, fern groves, rock formations, medicinal herbs, and three fire pit areas The space What makes the space special is its close proximity to NYC (2 Hours) while feeling both remote and close to suburban amenities. We have an outdoor BBQ Char-griller. The decor is colorful, yet warm and welcoming, like its host! Guest access Guests have access to their private bedroom, adjacent to the shared bathroom/laundry room, and kitchen. Additionally, they can use the common areas of the kitchen, laundry, and living room. Plus all exterior areas of the two+ acre property. Down the hill from me is a wetland area that is home to beavers, frogs, “fields” of water lilies and ferns. The home features a washer and dryer, three fire pit areas outside, one and a half baths. The WiFi is fast, while the mountain blocks some cellular service reception with certain providers. During your stay I am readily available via Airbnb messaging. I am renovating the front two guest rooms and will be staying in the front of the trailer when in town. Other things to note No TV! You can stream from your devices, laptop, etc. I am renovating the two front bedrooms because previous guests' cats used one of the rooms as a toilet. The smell has been 95% remediated, but I need to install linoleum flooring. Check yourself for ticks. These are the Catskills. Ticks live outside and are very, very common in wooded areas.
