It's a 5 minute walk to the ocean. It's on the sound/intracoastal waterway with beautiful water views and small wooded islands behind (no buildings behind the home, just nature). There is a small neighborhood pier/dock in the sound right behind the home for launching kayaks/canoe/SUPs (provided). There is a mixture of year round residents and vacation rentals in the neighborhood. Herring's Outdoor Sports is one block away (also on the sound) if you need to rent surf boards and etc. The home is within walking/biking distance of several restaurants and shops. The Surf City Pier is one mile away (and heart of Surf City). The water views from the home are hard to beat. There is public beach parking near the home (about 2 blocks away) and along Topsail Island. For water (boat) shuttle and tours call Tucks Water Shuttle. Our 2 bikes (provided) are a great way to get around. And don't forget the kayaks, canoe, and SUPs. You can even kayak to several restaurants and dock behind them while you dine! We try to provide the basics and essentials you'll need (in the home and kitchen) to make your stay enjoyable and carefree. Clean linens (sheets and towels) are provided. There are two queen beds and two twin beds (sleeps 6 in beds and 1 on floor bedding (best for a child)). There is a washer and dryer and dishwasher in the home for your convenience. The kitchen is fully stocked. We have beach chairs, beach umbrella, beach toys, a light fishing rod, golf clubs, corn hole, crabbing net, hammock etc. We also have kayaks, paddle boards, canoe, and two bicycles. The outdoor shower is closed in the winter (approximately November to March). Release of liability: we go to great lengths to ensure your stay is enjoyable and safe. Guests are responsible to conduct safety checks of recreational equipment such as bikes, paddle boards and kayaks before use, and use is at own risk. The home contains stairs. The home is in a natural setting with the sound (body of water) directly behind the home - and the ocean 2 blocks away. One example - alligators, while rare, have been sighted around Topsail Island. When guests book their stay, they agree to waive all liability in case of personal injury.
